£1.69 each
With the disposables craze there became a need for e-liquids to match the same type of sweetened flavours you get in a disposable but in 10ml bottles for use in ‘proper’ vapes such as tanks and pods, V69 have launched a budget busting range of 16 flavours in their ‘Vape Bar’ Nic Salts.
I will get the whole ‘69’ thing out of the way early. You can guess where my dirty mind went with my above photo, I have a mind like Finbarr Saunders and his double entendres, I couldn’t actually find the origins for the name Vape 69 but it could be from their incredibly cheap 69p freebase range they are well known for, but Vape69 have raised their game and price with this higher quality £1.69 range. Having tasted the Vape Bar range, I can tell you that £1.69 each is quite a Billy-Bargain but V169 doesn’t have the same ring to it.
I have tested so many disposables before the previous POTV ban that I am familiar with most of the flavours out there, V69 (fnarr fnarr) have pretty much covered all of them with a total of 16 flavours. I’m well impressed with this alone, and I was more impressed with the flavour quality they managed to achieve for such a pocket friendly price.

That’s quite a selection eh? This made reviewing the lot quite a daunting task; I don’t think I have ever had to review so many flavours at once. I usually try to use the whole 10ml of each flavour before I judge them and change the coil for each, that meant 16 coils! I just didn’t have that many so I ended up having to use a dripper to test some of them, for the majority I used a Joyetech ObliQ with 0.8ohm coils which can easily handle sweetened juices such as these.
If you haven’t got the time to read or can’t be arsed wading through them all, you can pretty much trust the flavours title, there are no complex recipes as such, just some fruity combinations that taste as they sound, I mean that in a good way, the common reaction I had to each was ‘ah, yep that’s spot on!’ and they do indeed taste like the disposables they are meant to replicate.
Peach Ice
"A perfect mixture of a sweet natural Peach flavour with a smooth icy kick to accompany."
V69’s (Yipp Yipp) simple description just nails it, this is going to make it difficult for me to add anything more. It’s peachy, sweet and has a subtle ice element and did indeed match the disposable flavour.
Apple & Peach
"We’ve combined sharp apple with juicy peach to create our Apple & Peach flavoured eliquid."
These two fruits work really well together, the dominant fruit is apple with around a third of it being peach. The two together tone down the sweetness and makes this a good all day vape. This could be my favourite.
Red Grape Ice
"Our Red Grape Ice Vape Bar Nic salts is a delicious natural tasting Red Grape flavour with a sweet and icy kick tagging alongside to make this mouth-watering vape juice flavour!"
Damn you V69! How am I supposed to beat that description? It just does what it says on the tin, a single grape flavour, not too sweet, and the Ice element tones it down nicely.
Sweet Strawberry Ice
"We’ve took the recipe from one of the most popular flavours in our Freebase range and put a new spin on it especially for our Vape Bar Nic Salt range! A Sweet naturally tasting Strawberry flavour with added ice to fully satisfy your tastebuds."
Another single fruit flavour, think sugared strawberries and that sums this one up. It is a bit too sweet for my tastes but the ice element does help to tone it down and I actually preferred the aftertaste as a result.
NRG Ice
"Whilst this vape juice might not give you wings, it will certainly give you a satisfying vaping experience every time! Drawing inspiration from the popular drinks range, NRG Ice Vape Bar Nic Salt vape juice is a rich sweet tasting e-liquid that has a subtle icy effect just like you’ve grabbed a can straight out of the fridge!"
Oh now they are just showing off! Their descriptions are getting longer and harder to beat, bah! But I do love this flavour, it was always one of my favourite disposable flavours and tastes better than the actual drink in my opinion. It is also a great choice as an all-day vape as it isn’t too sweet or sickly.
Green Apple Ice
"Keeping it simple yet satisfying with this Green Apple Ice Vape Bar Nic salt. A fruity tasting Apple flavour, with an icy accompaniment makes this e-liquid a refreshing flavour any time of the year!"
Another uncomplicated single fruit flavour, it’s unmistakably apple, sweet and the ice adds the crispness. The accurate and simple flavour makes this another good all day vape and it is not too sweet.
Sour Apple Ice
"If you love our Green Apple Vape Bar Nic Salts, then you’re going to love this! Using a similar flavour base, but adding in a sour kick to really treat your tastebuds to a delicious vaping experience! With a subtle Icy kick alongside, this vape juice is full of flavour."
Bums! I honestly don’t read V69’s (Phwerp Phwerp) descriptions until I am writing up my thoughts, but the above description nails this flavour yet again. Usually I f**king hate ‘sour’ but it just works in vape flavours. It almost tastes like an apple Red Bull, if that makes sense? You get that nice sour flavour but not that nasty cheek pulling (Yip Fnarr) aftertaste.
Menthol
"We’ve taken one of the most popular flavours in our Freebase range and put a new spin on it especially for our Vape Bar Nic Salt range! A Sweet naturally tasting Menthol flavour with added ice to fully satisfy your tastebuds."
I had expected to hate this one, personally I have never liked menthol either in ciggies or vape flavours, but this one was quite nice in a Mentos sweet way, or a minty sweet chew. Either way, it worked for me and I was able to consume the whole 10ml.
Blueberry Sour Raspberry Ice
"We’ve combined two of our bestselling vape juice flavours and made something special with the Vape Bar Nic Salt flavour combination! We’ve made a blend of fruity Blueberry and Raspberry flavours with a sour twist and icy kick added in to make this e-liquid which will wanting more every time!"
Hah! At last, I found V69’s description inaccurate, sadly it is only a couple of Missing Words (The Selector), to make this e-liquid which will wanting more every time! Should be ‘will leave you wanting more’, anyways, back to the actual flavour. This one is a tricky one to describe, it played tricks with my mind as to which fruit dominated but I settled on blueberry. The raspberry seemed to blend with it to make a single flavour that I couldn’t quite describe but I liked it quite a bit, and it did indeed leave me ‘wanting more’.
Sweet Blueberry Ice
"We’ve took the recipe from one of the most popular flavours in our Freebase range and put a new spin on it especially for our Vape Bar Nic Salt range! A Sweet naturally tasting Blueberry flavour with added ice to fully satisfy your tastebuds"
You might notice that V69 (Phwang Phnerp) have used blueberry a few times in other recipes but I am glad they have also used it as a stand-alone flavour. It is one of the most popular disposables flavours and they have got it just right here, not too sweet and the ice tones it down to be a good all day vape choice.
Blue Razz Lemonade Ice
"This vape juice is an absolute joy for your tastebuds! Mixing a sweet candy Blue Raspberry flavour and combining it with a sharp refreshing lemonade aftertaste, and with an Icy kick to accompany! This e-liquid is one of our favourites, and after trying it, it will be one of yours too!"
Here we have blueberry and raspberry together again, but this time in a lemonade blend which makes it different enough to stand out. It is another popular disposable flavour and V69 (Krot Krot) have nailed it once more. Another one of my favourites to add to my shopping list.
Watermelon Ice
"Our Watermelon Ice Vape Bar Nic Salt vape juice will leave your mouth watering and your tastebuds craving for more! A sweet candied Watermelon flavour that has a smooth and subtle icy blast alongside it. An e-liquid that will leave you satisfied every vape!"
Oooops, I think this could be V69’s (Fnack Bwoop) first duffer! It could be my tastes but this was just too sweet. Watermelon usually has a nice fresh and refreshing semi-sweet taste, you could detect the watermelon but the over sweet after-taste was too much for my palette. If you like very sweet e-liquids, you might like it though?
(Notice the ‘MANGO’ missing, I discovered my mistake after the photos and I did test it)
Strawberry & Banana Ice
"We’ve combined two of the sweetest, candied flavours we could get our hands on and made something special! Strawberry and Banana Ice Vape Bar Nic Salts is a perfect combination of these two delicious flavours to make one vape juice that’s mouther wateringly satisfying!"
I was looking forward to this one as it is one of my favourite disposables, and I wasn’t disappointed as they have got this one near perfect. The balance of the two sweet fruits is just right and the ice manages to tone it down enough to let the flavours through but not with an overpowering sweetness. THIS is my pick of the bunch (pun intended).
Pineapple, Peach & Mango
"A triple threat of exotic flavours resulting in an e-liquid that is packed full of flavour! This vape juice is filled to the brim with flavour, combining three sweet natural fruit flavours and making this Vape Bar Nic salts impossible to put down!"
Another one of my instant favourites, V69 (Quirp Fnang) have the balance right and the sweetness is about right too. It is a very sweet blend, but the tropical tang makes it proper tasty with a pleasant aftertaste, almost an all-day vape but definitely a treat.
Kiwi Passion Guava Ice
"Our flavour house has gone wild and grabbed three of the freshest exotic fruit flavours and combined them to make a delicious Kiwi, Passionfruit and Guava Vape Bar Nic Salt flavour! A perfect mix of the three fruits with Ice makes this vape juice irresistible!"
Another tropical melody and another winner. These three fruits just go together perfectly, and V69 (Phwoop Fnipp) have got the balance just right that you can pick each one out. The ice element makes it work as it keeps the sweetness in check and leaves a lush aftertaste. It goes into my top 3.
Mango Ice
"Our Mango Vape Bar Nic Salt vape juice is one of the fruitiest and flavoursome in our whole range! A sweet but natural Mango flavour which is perfect to vape on a hot day, with an icy kick to cool you down. But you don’t just have to use it on hot days, it’s perfect all year round!"
Another tropical fruit but this time it’s a single fruit and it’s another firm favourite of disposable users. Simply put, mango and ice are the perfect partnership. I have tried many mango Nic Salts, and this one is right up there with the best. If you like mango ice, then you can’t go wrong with this one.
Overall I am very impressed with the Vape Bar range, they are a superb choice for converting disposable users to a more sustainable way of vaping. A word of warning though; choose the right vape hardware and coils to go with them as they are all sweet and could be a coil-killer if you get it wrong. As a general rule of thumb, latest 0.8ohm pods or coils usually handle sweet e-liquids, anything higher such as a 1.2ohm tend to have smaller wicking and coil bore which clogs up quicker.
I did spot this on V69’s (Quirp Fnarr) website:
FREE ASPIRE R1 DEVICE - Place an order for 20+ bottles of our new Nic Salt Vape Bar range and get a free Aspire R1 Device**
That’s not a bad deal, especially when you consider the e-liquids are only £1.69 each. The Aspire R1 is a decent starter kit and a good bridge to sway off disposables. I have reviewed a few decent kits that can handle sweetened nic salts and the folks on the forum can help you choose if you get stuck, but the above deal is a great start.
Finally, I am a fussy sod when it comes to my e-liquids, but the Vape Bar range will definitely be on my future shopping list, especially as they are only £1.69 each.
