We get to revisit an old friend with a new twist as we get to try the NIXER X Unreal Raspberry long fills range

These days, it can be hard to find an e-liquid range that doesn’t include a version of blue raspberry, it is everywhere. Each one is different too with some being a vague raspberry candy, others being a blend of raspberry and blueberry, and more still are just a fairly generic fruit slush flavour. But right at the forefront of the blue raspberry revolution, there was Dispergo Vaping who saw the potential of this versatile flavour and released a whole range of juices that used it as a very solid base to build from. Thus, the Unreal Raspberry range was launched upon an unsuspecting world back in 2021. It was a cracking line, so it was only fitting that it was chosen to become one of the big names in the revolutionary NIXER ranges of shortfills.
If you have been keeping an eye on our reviews recently, you should already be familiar with the NIXER concept, a complete longfills package which allows you to customise your e-liquid to just the way you like it. So say you want a bottle of 6mg strength 70VG/30PG e-liquid, you can make it here, or if salts are more your style you could pick a 5mg nic salts pack. If ice is your thing, you can even choose a mixer option for that too, and let me tell you, these have quite a kick to them. Recently the mixer selection has been expanded to include a 50VG/50PG option too, and I am very excited to get my hands on that one. There are just so many options, so no matter what your style or preferences are, you should be well catered for here. The range of flavours seems to be increasing at a crazy rate too so I’d be very surprised if you can’t find something you will fall in love with.
NIXER X Unreal Raspberry includes the complete range of flavours from the original shortfills but now you can customise them to use in any type of hardware set up. For years, I was a sworn DIY vaper, but these days I pretty much exclusively use a MTL pod set up when I am not reviewing kit. I’m getting lazy in my old age, I guess, so I will definitely be stocking up on some of my old favourites. But for this review, I am using a 70/30 freebase pack which when put together makes up 60ml of juice.
NIXER X Unreal Raspberry Blue

This is the building blocks on which the whole range is built on, and it provides a very solid base. I think this is what really ruined blue raspberry for me, because there are very few blue razz e-liquids that stand up to it. You get a strong fresh raspberry which has a really good balance of sweet juiciness and a sharper edge to give it more of a tang. It is like a regular raspberry but supercharged to bring together the extremes in one delicious e-liquid.
NIXER X Unreal Raspberry Red

Back when I reviewed the original shortfill range, I thought that the cherry was slightly underwhelming. But newer mesh coils really seem to love cherry flavours almost as much as I do, and now you really get a much richer taste experience giving it a greater depth. It is super smooth too, and the sweetness of the base sits perfectly with the combined flavours. It is a simple mix, but it works really well.
NIXER X Unreal Raspberry Yellow

I adore Dispergo’s pineapple, I was blown away the first time I tried it in one of their recipes, and it has never lost its magic. It is like a really top shelf pineapple juice, rich and smooth, with a sort of tropical warmth thanks to the syrupy fruitiness. Mixed with the blue raspberry, it really brings the flavour to life adding a further level to the already well textured taste and feel.
NIXER X Unreal Raspberry Pink

Hot on the heels of the pineapple blend is another killer combo as I also adore any Dispergo bubblegum recipe. Here it is a fat, chewy juice with a sweet flavour that goes on for days. Real bubblegum can be so disappointing as you get a few chews full of flavour, and then it rapidly drops off to leave the flavour of bland cardboard, but here, the flavour just keeps on coming. If only real bubblegum was this good.
NIXER X Unreal Raspberry Purple

The Purple variety is as American as you could get, mixing together the candified blue raspberry with a purple grape which tastes like a can of soda. As sweet as it is, it is also rich and has great depth making it a deceptively mature vape. Even grown-ups like the sweet stuff sometimes!
NIXER X Unreal Raspberry Black

We are going out with a bang here as this is a pure berry explosion mixing the base blue raspberry with a huge hit of tart blackcurrant. It is very rich and so juicy, it could almost make a girl dribble, although this is not uncommon with my relationship with Dispergo! On paper, it sounds simple and straightforward, but it is that depth of flavour that just keeps me coming back for more.
Final Thoughts
Back when the Unreal Raspberry range was first released, I remember chatting with the guys at Dispergo and they reckoned it was their best range to date. I was sceptical as I was already a big fan, but once I tried them I could see why they were so proud of what they had come up with. Three years down the line, the flavours seem to taste better than ever thanks to the jump in coil design, and now you can also customise the juices to your e-liquid preferences, it makes these a solid gold classic.
