We look at a new take on a classic with the NIXER X Unreal 2 longfills range

We are in the home stretch covering the huge selection of NIXER longfills, and be warned, the last few ranges will be coming thick and fast so hold on tight. This time we are checking out the NIXER X Unreal 2, a new format of an old favourite we covered back in 2022 when they were first released as regular shortfills. But two years is a lifetime in vaping terms, and hardware has come on in leaps and bounds so I was really looking forward to trying out these new style e-liquids with the latest generation of mesh coils. I was not disappointed!
First up, a quick recap of what the NIXER format is. NIXER is a ready to assemble longfill e-liquid kit which contains everything you need to make up 60ml of delicious e-liquid. First up, you get your bottle which contains the super strong concentrated flavour which is the starting point to which you add the included nic shots and filler shot. All mixed together will give you your final bottle ready to vape. It basically gives you the size advantage you get from shortfills but with an extra level of customisation as you can pick between salts, freebase, or 0% nicotine, in strengths ranging from 0 to 10mg strength, depending on which pack you go for. Since receiving my review samples, I see there is also a new mixer pack, a 50/50 freebase one, and that has my name all over it! But summing things up, there is basically something for everyone, no matter what you preferred vaping style is…genius!
The Flavours
The NIXER X Unreal 2 range covers five fruit flavours, supercharged for maximum impact. Whilst they all contain just two flavours, don’t be fooled into thinking these are basic, it takes skill to get mixes like this just right.
Strawberry Peach

We start with a strong candy peach, like those giant gummy peach ones that kids and grown ups love so. It is warm and fuzzy, and has an almost thick texture to it. This is then smoothed off with a sweet, juicy strawberry that just slithers down so well. It is full of a natural sugary sweetness too, no signs of any nasty artificial tastes.
Dark Grape and Bubblegum

Now you may think grape and bubblegum is a bit of a strange combination, but let me tell you, it really works. This is partly down to the combination of the two flavours, but the real magic is whatever Dispergo do to make their bubblegum so gosh darned chewy. It isn’t just the flavour, it is the little highlight notes, like the dusting of sugar you get from a fresh stick of hubba bubba. It is hands down, the most authentic bubblegum flavour out there. On its own, it would be outstanding, but when you factor in the rich, decadent dark grape, you have a winning combination.
Passionfruit and Grapefruit

Another truly inspired flavour match up. The passionfruit is rich and syrupy with a really strong tropical punch, and the grapefruit has a real citrus sparkle. They are two opposites that come together to work in perfect unison. It is a really textured vape too, with a wicked throat hit thanks to the mix of fruit juice and pure zest.
Pineapple Passionfruit

Yay, more passionfruit! I do love my tropical e-liquids. We get more texture again here, although it is a bit smoother this time. We also get even more juice thanks to a really realistic fresh pineapple which tastes like the best quality juice cartons. If you like tropical vapes, this should be at the top of your shopping list.
Lemon and Raspberry

This is a simple one, it tastes like a perfect storm of lemon and raspberry all mixed in to one delightful bottle. It is a sweeter lemon, smooth rather than tangy, and it blends beautifully with the ripe, fresh raspberry, which again is very authentic and has no hints of any misplaced floral accents. It is an easy to vape juice.
Final Thoughts
I absolutely adored the Unreal 2 range when it first launched two and a half years ago, but I wasn’t sure how well it would hold up as e-liquid in general has evolved a lot in a short amount of time. But I was really happy to find out that not only are they as tasty as I remembered, but the newer mesh coils have also lifted things up to an even great level of taste. These are top tier flavours and should be in any fruit lovers vape draw.
