Krumble Blueberry Shortbread E-Liquid
Krumble are an American E-Liquid manufacturer based in California. At present they have only a single flavour available in their range - it is manufactured using 100% tobacco free nicotine.
The 30ml glass bottle comes nicely protected in a thin cardboard packet and it features a child proof dropper top cap. The label is neat and nicely set out with all typical information and warnings clearly marked. The juice is mixed to a ratio of 70VG/30PG so you can expect good cloud production.
At present this juice is available in three different strengths: 6mg, 3mg and 0mg. I tried this juice in my Freemax Scylla Sub Ohm tank using a Ni200 coil and also in my Eden Mods Snapdragon RDA which is currently built with a 0.8ohm dual coil wicked with Japanese Cotton.
Krumble Blueberry Shortbread
Sweet, Juicy, Peak-Season Blueberries above a Classic Shortbread.
I first tried this juice out in my Freemax Scylla which is currently fitted with a Ni200 coil. Using my IPV4S I set the temperature to 240°C and the Wattage to 40W. Upon taking my first vape the most apparent flavour that you initially get is a very natural and rather excellent taste of shortbread. It really does have that buttery quality to it and a slight hint of dryness from the biscuit which makes it very convincing as a vape. What follows on the exhale is a sweet and mouth-watering taste of blueberry that is absolutely superb but even though it tends to take centre stage at this point the shortbread can still be noticed in the background as subtle flavour notes.
It really does make for a very moreish and enjoyable vape and to be honest I would have no hesitation in vaping this as often as I could which means the 30ml bottle isn’t going to last me long, in fact even less time if Junglist gets a whiff of it and decides he wants some. In my opinion I would say you do need a good amount of heat to vape this particular flavour at its best since it really does bring out the flavour notes extremely well when used with a Temperature Control set up.
I then moved on to trying out this juice in my Snapdragon RDA where the real noticeable difference was how much more the sweet blueberry stood out and to some extent the shortbread while still present and very noticeable had a little more variation in to how much of a sweet, buttery or biscuit taste I got on the inhale. As you might expect the distinction and potency of flavours is much better in an RDA but I really did enjoy it in the Freemax where it took on more of a blended taste that meant it was ideal for all day vaping!
Whichever set up you choose to vape it in this is a very impressive juice that will appeal to anyone who enjoys fruity dessert style flavours. Vapour production was very good but quite typical of the mix ratio used. I found the throat hit in 3mg strength to be mild but it might be considered medium for some folks.
Conclusion
This is an excellent juice that is well mixed and has a lovely flavour profile, it is definitely up there with some of the best blueberry E-Liquids that I have tried. If you love blueberry and shortbread then do get yourself a bottle! American readers can get this juice directly from sites such as EJuices.com and it will soon be stocked by UK vendors. Many thanks to Lee from Clouds Distro who sent this E-Liquid to Planet of the Vapes for us to review.
