Nicoticket - Frenilla, Creme Brulee and Custard's Last Stand

Nicoticket seem to have been around for a lifetime in vaping terms (2 years!), their brand has always been held in high esteem whenever I have heard them mentioned. Hailing from Omaha in the US there are not too many outlets in the UK so when I saw that Vaperama had them in stock I jumped at the chance of grabbing three of their dessert flavours, Frenilla, Créme Brulee and Custard’s Last Stand.

Nicoticket hail from Omaha in the US.  Owned by Kent (Clark) Brooks the company clearly takes customer service and a love of the vaping community to heart.  Their site states “Every bottle of eLiquid we produce is crafted with the same care to detail that we would employ if we were going to vape that liquid ourselves, or give it to our own mother, or share it with our best friend etc.” Trawling forums and review sites it’s clear that they love what they do and take customer satisfaction to the heart of their business - no wonder they have such a good reputation, I can’t find a single bad word said about them

All of the liquids I tried are 50PG / 50 VG ratio and I tried them all in Nature Vape style tanks @ 1.4 ohms and in the new Mini Freakshow @ 0.5 ohms - as Clark says “Definitely consider trying it in a wide variety of devices, but do NOT write it off until you drip it!”  I am testing the 6mg strength for the range.

From reading their site they state that all of their juice is “adequately pre-steeped and is generally suitable for vaping by the time it arrives at your door.”  Their range is delivered in amber brown glass bottles to “keep the liquid fresher, longer (as compared to LDPE plastic, or even clear glass bottles) – so – additional steep time is NEVER a bad thing.”  That said I have tried these liquids over a few weeks and the taste has changed very little to me in terms of the Nature Vape set up - and in the brown glass certainly does help to keep the liquid fresh.

Crème Brulee

“Indulge in velvety rich custard goodness complete with a crisp caramelized sugar shell, and topped with gooey salted caramel.  Our "Classic" Creme Brulee eLiquid features generous amounts of our heavenly in-house vanilla extract, paired with our famous custard vanilla base.  Don't let the fact that this is a dessert eLiquid fool you - this is true "All Day Every Day" Vape material.”

No matter how many times I am served up a caramelised crunchy-topped cream based pudding Creme Brulee will always reminded me of, Heeeeeyyyyy, Les McQueen, The League of Gentlemen’s own rhythmn guitarist.  So, is this a juice that is destined to never quite reach the big time or is it Papa Lazarou in disguise?

Like all of Nicoticket’s juices the 50/50 ratio sits well in both the clearo and the dripper, easily wicking and carrying giving a decent amount of vapour in both set ups.  The juice has a lovely vanilla base flavour and a topping of toasted sugar.  In the clearo the sweetness was more pronounced for me, in the dripper set up more of the toasted flavour came through, especially at higher wattage.  Dropping the 0.5 ohm build down to 35W brought the sweetness levels back up.  A really tasty dessert vape where the toasted overtones bring another dimension to the plain sweetness often found in custard / vanilla based vapes.  Superb!

Custard’s Last Stand

“Custard's Last Stand, affectionately known as 'CLS', is the liquid that made us famous.  Everyone we hand it to, loves it.  The next question is usually "Where can I get it?"  No flowery description required: it’s thick; it’s creamy; it’s decadent; it’s vanilla custard.  Despite the 'no frills' presentation (IE, no additional 'twists' in the flavor profile) - our rendition of "straight up up vanilla custard" is deviously complex.  It’s as close to an all day vape as we have ever experienced – truth be told, it’s hard to put it down.“

I love my custards and his one stacks up really well.  It is a sweet treat that delights the taste buds in both set ups again. It does stand up really well to the higher wattage, I just wish that the Freemax Starre wasn’t otherwise occupied but that is its next destination for me!  It doesn’t have the really strong custard bottom line that my usual custards have - possibly leaning more to side of vanilla - not surprising given that the liquid contains Nicoticket’s own in-house vanilla extract - so this isn’t a flavour that is likely to be matched elsewhere.  A great liquid that is worth checking out by all you custard heads out there.

Frenilla - Unadulterated Vanilla

“Vanilla made us famous.  French Vanilla - seemingly simple, yet remarkably complex.  Frenilla is widely considered to be the best "straight-up vanilla" on the market.  This liquid is notable because it employs a significantly higher % of our in-house vanilla extract as compared to our other (admittedly more famous) vanilla products.  It's also notable that the vanilla employed in Frenilla is steeped TWICE AS LONG as the vanilla in our other vanilla products.  The combination of a longer steep paired with a higher % of flavoring results in the richest, most intense, and most flavorful vanilla eLiquid we offer - more "pure vanilla flavor" than Custard's Last Stand or Creme Brulee by a wide margin.”

To me this liquid is a pure delight.  It is light, sweet and a definite all day vape.  Don’t let the fact that it is a straight vanilla flavour put you off.  I have tried a few straight up vanillas in the past year and this knocks spots off the lot of them.  Maybe it is the fact that their vanilla flavour is extracted in house, maybe it’s that they give it that extra love and attention before shipping it out but the is a perfect vape for me.  In the nature vape it is light and the aftertaste lingers well.  In the dripper the flavour is amplified and keeps up really nicely at higher wattage.  I will definitely be grabbing more of this one!

Conclusion

Clearly Nicoticket have earned their respected place in the ejuice market, their choice of flavours is good, their packaging is well thought out and their ethics are second to none.  Working well in my clearo set up and drippers the flavours are strong and vapour production is good.

At £8.99 for 15ml (roughly 5.99 per 10ml) this is a pound more than you would usually pay for UK premium brands - but in my opinion it is worth a dabble, especially If you like your dessert flavours.  I will certainly be buying the rest of the range to see what else they have to offer! The range of flavours from Vaperama can be seen here - Nicoticket eliquid UK.
