Being a fan of the Rachael Rabbit range of nic salts, I was keen to see if the Jack Rabbit range was at least on par. There seems to be a clear difference in flavours as this range is more of a sweet dessert line-up which usually lend themselves better for DL vaping in my experience. If these work for MTL pods and tanks I will be well happy.
- Size: 10ml TPD
- Strength: 20mg/ml & 10mg/ml
- VG Ratio: 50vg
I decided to test all these in an RTA, the Kizoku Limit MTL, as it’s one of my favourite flavour lobbing tanks and is easy to re-wick between flavours.
Banoffee Pie
"On the inhale, you get the dreamy whipped cream with sweet caramel toffee with a touch of fresh banana. Following this, during the exhale, the hints of butterscotch compliment the buttery biscuit base. Deliberately made to be that dessert flavour that you can vape all day."
I have tried this one in the 70/30 shortfill but it was much nicer in the nic salts for me, the banana was obviously dominant and the pie came through in the exhale and aftertaste. It slightly reminded me of banana bread, the flavour was a clear dessert and quite sweet. I thoroughly enjoyed all 10ml, and I would re-order more as a treat rather than an ADV.
Mandarin Cheesecake
"Delicately sweet mandarin provides a zesty element to create the ultimate balance between the creamy vanilla and biscuit cheesecake base. This surprisingly light e-liquid is a dessert lover’s dream."
I’m not quite sure what I was expecting from this one but it took me by surprise, it's bloody lovely! I’m not quite tasting full on cheesecake though, more a sweet creamy orange which just works and gives a really smooth flavour throughout. The inhale and exhale are similar and there is a creamy orange aftertaste. I have tried this flavour in the shortfill 70/30, but I prefer this nic salt MTL option. It is a little too sweet to be an ADV, but is a definite treat.
Rio
"The profile for this tropical flavour is, fresh, juicy Pineapple that gives a sweet punch on the inhale, with Papaya and Mango followed by a delicate touch of Coconut and Cream to give a tropical blend to allow a taste of summer all year round."
This flavour is a little different to the rest of the range as it’s not quite a pudding dessert. I’m not complaining as I frikkin love this flavour. It might sound corny but a fruit explosion is my experience of this flavour, it’s very punchy and delicious, though I find it a little tricky to define a single fruit coming through as you get a smooth blend with a slight creamy smoothness. The inhale and exhale are very similar and it leaves a juicy aftertaste. I simply love this one and certainly will be re-ordering, though I suspect it might end up a treat rather than an ADV.
Strawberry Cheesecake
"Fresh juicy strawberries complemented by a creamy overlay, creating the perfect cheesecake flavour."
Ah strawberry - my nemesis flavour! I rarely find one I enjoy which is more down to my personal preferences, so I wasn’t expecting too much from this flavour. Jack Rabbit got this one spot on by adding the biscuit flavouring as cheesecake balances the strawberry nicely. Strawberry was coming through smoothly on the inhale, and the biscuit more in the exhale and aftertaste. Another sweet one which 10ml was just enough for a treat vape for me, but I was very pleased with the proper strawberry taste.
Custard Doughnut
"A new and delicious Custard Doughnut mix. Just like your childhood warm filled doughnuts this flavour will leave you wondering how intensely delicious both notes of Custard and Doughnut are!"
Doughnut and MTL 50/50 juices are tough to get right and this flavour didn’t quite deliver that doughnut experience for me. It’s still a nice custard vape though a little dry. The doughnut base was a little harsh on my throat, as a result the overall flavour wasn’t quite right for me. It didn’t stop me polishing off all 10ml, but I can’t see me ordering this one again though custard fans will enjoy it more. As a side note, I found it tasted much better in a mesh pod (NOVO 4) which boosted more flavour. This is one of those juices that would work better in something that can accentuate all the notes, so a mesh coil around 0.8ohms works well, if that makes sense.
I’m alright Jack
The Jack Rabbit range is mainly a dessert range (with the exception of Rio), and as with the rest of the Rabbit juices, I think they have done a great job with balancing the recipes. They were a treat to vape but as with desserts in real life, I would use them in moderation rather than ADVs unless you exclusively vape dessert juices. For me, they complement the Rabbit range just right, there’s a range to suit all my tastes; Rachael Rabbit for exotic fruits, Cyber Rabbit for zesty fruits, and Jack Rabbit for pudding treats.
