Fantasi Bar Juice by Vapoholic

Vapoholic continue to impress with their awesome flavours and insanely good prices. We check out four of their latest Fantasi Bar Juice Shortfills

Whilst I am not a huge fan of the format, I have to admit I love the flavour of disposables, nothing hits as hard in the taste department….or at least it didn’t until we started to get the e-liquid as a stand-alone product in the shape of bar salts. Huge improvement as I do prefer to use my own kit, and as well as being more sustainable, salts are better value for money. But in my heart of hearts, I’m an old fashioned girl, I like my shortfills, I like to get maximum bang for my buck, and I like nice chunky bottles filled with delicious e-liquid. Thanks to Vapoholic, I can get the best of everything as they have extended their Bar Juice range by bringing over some of their already fantastic 10ml nic salts exclusive flavours over to their 50/50 shortfills. They very kindly asked if I’d like to try some out and let me choose four of their newly formulated flavours.

The Fantasi Bar Juice shortfills range are all 50% VG and 50% PG so are best suited to mouth to lung vaping, although really I find they can work in most set ups and styles. Personally, I like a good 0.8ohm pod kit, and these are perfect for that, but I did also try some in one of my 0.4ohm set ups, and it was still an exceptionally good vape. You also get the choice of nic salts or freebase, and I was sent the freebase version. As well as that, you can also choose between 3mg or 6mg. 6mg is my personal sweet spot so I got 4 nic shots to add to my bottle to make up the final mix. As is standard from Vapoholic, all of their shortfills come with their own easy mix system which makes everything simple and mess free.

When I am asked if I’d like to choose my own flavours, I always try to cover as wide a selection as possible as I want to try to get a broad representation of a range as I can in my reviews, and nine times out of ten, there will be a couple of flavours that wouldn’t be what I’d pick for myself, but honestly I’d happily go with any of these new flavours, they are all flavours I’d want to vape out of choice and not just as a part of this job. Plus I always know that Vapoholic go hard when it comes to flavour, and they always hit the spot.

Strawberry Raspberry Cherry Ice

I am a sucker for anything cherry, it is a great single flavour, but it can also be a really strong base as it brings a richness to any mix. Breaking through this thicker layer comes a sharp, tangy raspberry, a real counterpoint to the cherry. It is a lively raspberry too, so far it is turning into an interesting recipe. The final polish comes from a smooth, natural strawberry which combines everything together on the fruit front. It is an iced vape, fairly strong but not out of place, it just keeps things fresh and smooth. It is sweet as you’d expect from a bar salts style vape, but it is sugary rather than artificial.

NRG Ice

I went through quite a phase of energy drink style vapes, it is a profile that I think really works for vaping, especially if you like thick heavy flavour. This is very strong and is quite complex but in a way that is instantly recognisable as energy drink. It has that distantly medicinal flavour, in a good way. The ice is a bit more relaxed here, adding more texture than pure chill which I think is perfect for this flavour.

Blueberry Bubblegum Ice

A tantalising fusion of succulent, ripe blueberries and sweet, mellow bubblegum candy, enjoy lashings of sweet indulgence with every puff! “

This is a really nice combination, you get a sweet, slightly floral blueberry, not so much an authentic berry but a stronger, more up front version, and you get a true bubblegum coming through fresh from the wrapper when you still get that lightly sugared first few chews. But the beauty of this e-liquid is that the flavour doesn’t drop off after a couple of mouthfuls like it does with actual gum. Again, the ice is more of an accent rather than a driving force.

Strawberry Ice cream

Out of the selection I chose, this was the one I was most apprehensive about as it can be a fantastic flavour, but I have also had some that taste not unlike curdled nastiness. My faith in Vapoholic is not unfounded though, and this is a really good version. The strawberry is light and sweet, and the ice cream is velvety smooth with a rich vanilla weaving through it all. It is just a really pleasant ice cream, and it is also an honest take. It is a great all day style vape.

Final Thoughts

Vapoholic have become one of my favourite juice makers over the months I have been reviewing their products, they just make great flavours and consistently get things right. Several of my review samples have gone on to become firm favourites, no easy feat when you get to sample so much incredible e-liquid as I do, and this new batch all has the potential to join that list.

It still blows me away that Vapoholic can produce such top level flavours and still bring them in at an incredibly attractive price. If you want to go for 0% nicotine, it will set you back just £8.99 for a 100ml bottle, and if you want to add a bit more of a kick, the 3mg and 6mg versions are £9.99 for freebase or £10.99 for the salts version.
