VZone are a vaping manufacturer based out of Shenzhen, China, and they have recently released a whole range of attractive looking products to the market!
The VZone Spirit is an all in one device, but what sets it apart from the rest of the all in one devices on the market is that it uses a rebuildable dripping atomiser (RDA) instead of a tank! It’s powered by a single 18650 battery, with a maximum power output of 90W.

Design and Build Quality
VZone have designed the Spirit to be a compact yet powerful all in one device, with dimensions of 49mm x 80mm x 26mm. Manufactured from a combination of zinc alloy, stainless steel and plastic, it feels robustly made, there’s also a choice of five different colour options available.
On the front of the VZone Spirit is a large fire button, with a magnetic battery door cover containing six vent holes located at the back of the mod. The VZone Spirit takes a single 18650 battery, and a micro USB port is also found on the device for charging. A coloured LED lights up within the tank section as you fire, it glows green if the current battery level is between 4.2V and 3.7V, and red if it is between 3.7V and 3V. If it’s glowing red, it’s time to charge your battery!
What makes the VZone Spirit different from the other all in one devices on the market is that it features a rebuildable dripping atomiser, however the fact that the wick tails are directly fed from a 5.5ml reservoir underneath means it is more like a rebuildable dripping tank atomiser in design.
The RDA features a removable wide bore drip tip, and by rotating this you can adjust the airflow. There are large cyclops airflow slits present on each side, however you can’t close one side of the airflow off- this is a strictly dual coil affair only!
A Velocity styled build deck is present, with large post holes to fit your coil legs into. The deck itself can be removed to make rebuilding even easier. You get two pre-made coils included in the kit which are dead easy to mount! A wicking cut out is found in each corner of the deck, you should ensure these are filled with an ample amount of wick, and your wick tails should trail down ever so slightly. Whilst using the VZone Spirit, simply tilt the mod occasionally to make sure your wicks are well saturated with juice.
In between the posts is a large circular filling hole- you simply fill your juice through this hole and it enters the juice reservoir underneath via a set of smaller holes. A max fill marker is found on the side of the mod, and you shouldn’t fill past this if you wish to avoid leaks. It’s an ingenious method for filling the reservoir with juice that works really well!
Performance
The VZone Spirit is very mechanical mod like- the maximum voltage output is 4.2V (wattage output is limited to 90W), and the voltage output decreases with use, until it hits 3V whereby it will cease to fire. It hits like a mechanical mod too when you fire it!
Although it performs much like a mechanical mod, safety features are built in for protection. The VZone Spirit won’t fire resistances below 0.1ohm, with a wattage output limit of 90W. A ten second cut off, short circuit and overcharge protections are all built into the device.
The RDA performs admirably well, it provides a decent level of flavour, it is more suited to low resistance builds as it is also very airy, with plenty of vapour production!
Battery life all depends on the resistance of the coil build you are using, along with the capacity of your 18650 battery. For example, using the supplied coils (which give a final resistance of 0.15ohm), I’d be swapping the battery out for a fresh one every hour and a half or so. You do have USB charging present on the mod, however it’s always best to charge using an external charger wherever possible!
Conclusion
I applaud VZone for looking to bring something a little different to the all in one market, having a fully fledged RDA present on this device opens up far more possibilities than a stock coil all in one device.
With that being said, this is an all in one device best suited for those with experience rebuilding coils and a good knowledge of ohms law, rather than beginner vapers!
Many thanks to VZone for sending the Spirit in for review!
