Eleaf iPower Battery Mod styling and build quality

Like most Eleaf products the iPower feels very well put together and while it doesn’t use the most durable of materials it is more than acceptable considering the reasonable price tag.

The three buttons on the device feel decent, are very responsive and thankfully rattle free. The screen is both bright and clear and shows all of the typical information that you would expect including Resistance, Wattage and Voltage. In addition battery life is shown as is temperature (when using that mode).

The iPower is available in several finishes and I received the wood grain version to review. Sadly it isn’t real wood but the overall look is neat and quite stylish. Size wise the iPower is very similar to the Innokin Cool Fire IV and the Aspire Plato.

The device is form friendly with nicely rounded edges so it feels very comfortable to hold and makes for a good grip. The 510 threading looks to be made from Stainless Steel so it will certainly last a decent amount of time. The spring-loaded pin appears to be made from brass. All of the tanks and drippers I tried with this mod fitted flush with no visible gap.

The iPower has a sufficient amount of venting via ten holes located in the base. Also located on the base of the device is the Micro USB port and it does support have pass through capability so you can happily keep vaping while charging.  The on-board firmware is fully upgradeable and you can download updates directly from Eleaf.

With its 5000mAh internal battery you will get a great deal of vape time before you have to recharge.

Ease of use

The manual is very thorough and covers all of the functions in detail. Anyone who has used an iStick before will feel right at home with this device.

Eleaf iPower Battery Mod performance

The Eleaf iPower works consistently well and I had no issues with it when using either Variable Wattage or Temperature Control Mode. Every atomizer I used gave me exactly the same kind of vape I would get from my other devices. Swapping between modes was extremely convenient and I encountered no weird Resistance fluctuation or heat spikes. One of the best things about this device is the 5000mAh battery which will give a modest user at least two days of heavy vaping. I found that I got at least a day and a half out of it when using it with some of my Sub Ohm tanks at 35-40W.

In my opinion this device is perfect for the kind of person that doesn’t want to invest in external charges or replaceable rechargeable batteries. Charging via the Micro USB cable took about three hours which is more than reasonable considering the capacity.

Conclusion

The iPower represents another good device from Eleaf. It might not win any awards for stylishness and it isn’t exactly inundated with functions but by the same token it is well put together, competitively priced and works extremely well! With up to 80W of power available and a 5000mAh battery this device allows you quite a lot of flexibility in terms of vaping.

For anyone on a budget who needs longer life out of their devices and doesn’t want to have to mess around with batteries and external charges the Eleaf iPower might be just what you are looking for!

The Eleaf iPower is typically priced at £39.99 and is available from a variety of UK vendors.
