In the ever-evolving world of vaping, dotMod has established itself as a brand synonymous with quality, innovation, and elegance. Their latest offering, the dotMod dotBox 100W Kit, continues this legacy. The dotBox 100W Kit is a visual masterpiece. dotMod's signature design elements, including the sleek chassis and intricate logo, make it stand out. Available in various colours, the device caters to different aesthetic preferences, ensuring that every vaper can find a style that suits them.
dotMod’s signature textured gold button is sleek and has a nice tactile feel when you click it, after using this for a few weeks the button makes you want to vape more just so you can press it! It may seem like a minor detail in the grand scheme of things but it’s these little features that will keep me coming back to this mod for a while to come.

Material and Durability

Constructed from high-quality anodized aluminium, the dotBox 100W is both lightweight and sturdy. The build quality exudes durability, promising a long-lasting vaping experience. The precision machining and attention to detail reflect dotMod’s commitment to excellence.
While the mod itself is light and sturdy, it’s not so light where it feels flimsy or cheap, in the hand, you can feel the subtle weight it has and it’s well balanced so it’s not top heavy or bottom heavy, even with the battery inside.

Ergonomics and Portability

Despite its robust build, the dotBox 100W is ergonomically designed, fitting comfortably in hand. Its compact size enhances portability, making it a perfect companion for vapers on the go. The intuitive placement of buttons further enhances user experience, ensuring that all functions are easily accessible, the placement of the button is well thought out, in my hands I never have to stretch to reach the fire button, keeping my hand nice and relaxed while vaping.

dotTank

The dotTank included in the kit, is built with the same lightweight sturdiness that the mod has. It features a nice top airflow design which is my preference when it comes to tanks, it has a standard quarter turn to open the top to access your fill ports,
The included drip tip is nice, but for me personally I prefer a wider drip tip, which thanks to the standard 810 connection I could easily swap it out for my preferred drip tip. The glass is a 5.5ml capacity and the kit comes with a spare 5.5ml bubble glass should you have any accidents and break the preinstalled one. The 5.5ml capacity was more than enough for me day to day.

In the settings there are a few colour themes if you want to change it up a bit and make it your own, personally I stuck with the default black & gold theme as I personally think this one looks the best as it blends in with the rest of black frame around the screen while still keeping nice subtle gold accents.

Users can tweak settings to their liking, ensuring a personalised vaping experience. Flavour and Vapour Production

Coil Compatibility

The dotBox 100W Kit is compatible with a wide range of coils, including dotMod’s proprietary coils, I was given a pack of 0.3 coils with my kit and the device includes a 0.3 and a 0.15 coil in the box. I’ve been a big fan of the 0.3 coils and that’s what I’ll stick with long term, it produces a nice smooth flavour and a decent amount of airflow for those who like to make big clouds. In my use with the 0.3 coils I was able to get around 1500 puffs before I needed to replace it as I could feel the flavour dropping off a bit, I’m sure I could have stretched it out a bit more if needed.
This compatibility ensures that users can experiment with different setups to achieve their desired flavour and vapour production.
