The Captain's Reserve are a UK based e-liquid company. All of their liquids are manufactured in the United Kingdom and their juice is all hand made and in small batches.

When I first tried this juice I wasn't that keen. I think this was because I expected something different and having read at this point that it was like a cheesecake I was slightly disappointed. However I did go back to it and try it again without any misconceptions and I have grown to appreciate it for what it is. It's not a cheesecake style vape to me at all. What it does taste almost exactly like to me is a home made bramble crumble. You can taste that crumble like flavour and it even has a sprinkling of sugar. The fruit is definitely a bramble based one but its unusual in that the sweetness comes more from the crumble like base rather than the fruit. Once in a while you do get this incredibly fruity after taste a little like a thick, warm jam.
For some people it might taste just like a fruity cheesecake but for me its a crumble and a rather nice one that has become more enjoyable for me over time. I wonder if this one would mix well with a bit of Captain's Custard for a bramble crumble and custard type vape. There is also a hint of something else in there but what it actually is I can't really tell but it adds something unusual to the blend and makes it another unique juice. I almost feel like there's a hint of cinnamon present but I really can't fathom this one out.
I find this one very enjoyable at about 50-65 watts. Vapour production is the same but throat hit is slightly stronger, possibly medium in strength, depends on the user.
Final thoughts before setting sail:
If you have a device that will let you get the very best from these wonderful juices then I think you will be very surprised by them as I was. For those that are limited by their wattage at the very least do give Starboard a try.
For me it has been a absolute pleasure to test and review these juices. They are all very special and offer very unique and different flavours to a lot of juice that is currently available. If you fancy something that conjures up recipes of a bygone era then I encourage you to try The Captain's Reserve. I wish Captain Ollie every success in his endeavours.
The time has come my friends, to return to the sea once again, to once more menace the French and Spanish with shot and shell and to make myself rich beyond imagination. In my distant voyages you can be certain of one thing that I will be taking a sizeable stash of these e-juice riches with me. Take note any would would come between me and my plunder, for you will quickly find a cutlass sliced across your gizzard.
