Vape Club have very generously sent over a bundle of 14 different flavours of the Oh So Salty Range of juices for me to have a shot on.

The bottles note that these are another juice range from Dispergo Vaping, a juice company that we do like a lot here at POTV. They’re UK based and have a reputation of creating some nicely flavoured liquid for everyone to enjoy in their preferred vape devices, and the Oh So Salty range is no different. They’re nicotine salt based but eschew the usual ton of cooling in every bottle that a lot of manufacturers are going for right now. Some of the flavours do have ice in them, but they’re not in every single one. There is some sweetener in them too, but it’s tempered well to enhance the juice, rather than just being there to be like the other popular ranges out there at the moment.

The bottles have some colourful branding on them showing the name of the brand and flavour. The nicotine strength is on there too somewhere. I was sent 20mg nic salts but there are 10mg and 5mg per ml versions available too for those who like their vape juice a little less nicotiney. The ratio is 50/50 vg and pg, so they’re perfect for mtl draws and devices.

The whole range is fruity, with a few slushy type ice versions in there as well. It’s a nicely curated bundle of liquid, with some different combinations from the norm. Well, they’re different to me anyway. I did really enjoy trying them all out, so here we go with the flavour descriptions. As always, I’ll lead with the fact that everyone tastes things differently, and these are just how I perceive them personally.

Strawberry Blackcurrant

It has a lovely fruity, but somehow also earthy blackcurrant at first, and then you get a deep, sweet strawberry. I love this flavour combo, it’s always a winner. There is sweetener there, but it’s nicely done to boost the two fruits.

Pink Lemonade

Fizzy juice liquids are always very sweet, as they need to be, and this one is no different. There’s a distinct sweet but very slightly bitter lemon flavour that melts into a lovely berry on the back end. The berry really is lovely in this one, and it makes it one of the deeper pink lemonades I’ve tried. I can also sense the fizz in it, so it’s done very well.

Banana Ice

“Banana Ice nic salt e-liquid by Oh So Salty combines the classic sweet taste of foam bananas with a cool ice blast for a vape that’s both creamy and cool”

It’s cold and tastes like foam bananas. I hate it. My missus, on the other hand, loves it and described it as foam bananas with sugar on top. She thought it was nicely cold and that helped the flavour pop a bit more than others she’s had in the past.

Blue Razz Ice

“Blue Razz Ice nic salt e-liquid by Oh So Salty balances the bold flavours of rich blueberry and tangy raspberry for a balanced berry blend, followed by a cool icy blast on exhale”

Another ice one but it’s not overly so, the cooling just lifts the main flavour a bit. It’s a lovely blue raspberry as well, sweet blueberry with a tart kick to it. You can taste the separate flavours rather than just tasing a generic blue razz flavour. The blue part is a little dry, but the sweetness takes that away.

Pomegranate Watermelon

One of the more intriguing combinations in the range for me, I’d never have put the two of them together. They do mix wonderfully though. There’s a nice sweet and tart blast from the pomegranate, and the watermelon is suitably watery and realistic. This would do you all day, no problem.

Pineapple Lemon Ice

“Pineapple Lemon Ice nic salt e-liquid by Oh So Salty delivers an exotic fruit flavour with a citrus twist. Sweet pineapple is layered with zesty lemon, followed by a frosty blast of ice on exhale”

Ooooft this one is coooooold. It’s very lemony with a bit of pineapple in there that sweetens up the bitterness perfectly. It’s such a good combination with the sweet but bitter lemon and a realistic pineapple all swirling about in the blizzard of coolness.

Mango Passion Ice

Another cold one. The mango is not quite ripe enough tasting for my preference, with a strong floral touch, but the passionfruit sweetens it up a bit and cuts through well. Not really my taste, but preferences differ.

Orange Mango Pineapple

“Orange Mango Pineapple salt nic e-liquid by Oh So Salty fuses fresh citrus and tropical fruits. From your first inhale, you’ll taste of exotic mango and passionfruit, followed by a zesty kick of orange”

It still has the same floral mango in there, but that does go a lot better with the orange they’ve used here. I’m getting a sweet citrusy orange as the main flavour, and then the floral mango seeps through, but it’s tempered well by the orange on top.

Grape and Raspberry

“Grape Raspberry nic salt e-liquid by Oh So Salty blends the classic flavours of grape and red raspberry. The sweet, rich taste of black grape is complemented by notes of sour raspberry”

I was ready to dislike this one because I tend not to like grape flavours, but it’s actually really well done. I taste a dry grapey flavour at first, but then the sweet raspberry flies in and takes over completely, making this combination a sweet but deep flavour that you really need to have a good shot at to appreciate. One of my favourites in the end.

Blackcurrant Raspberry

They like their blackcurrant in this range and so they should. They have nailed it to be fair. This time it melds in perfectly with the raspberry to create an explosion of sweet berries that I’ll be coming back to several times myself.

Strawberry Peach

“Strawberry Peach nic salt e-liquid by Oh So Salty is a juicy combination of ripe berry and stone fruit flavours. Sweet notes of strawberry are softened by the distinct taste of peach, for a summery vape”

Peachy peachy. We get it, it’s peachy. And it’s a nice, sweet peach too. I’m actually struggling to describe this one, it’s very nice though. The strawberry gives the peach a totally different dimension to it and somehow makes it better while leaving the signature peach taste. Probably the only one that makes a completely new flavour rather than mixing two fruits but keeping them distinct. My favourite out of them all. I can’t stop tooting on it.

Fruit Twist

Well this juice just made a liar out of me regarding the last one. This has a lot going on to give another new flavour given the mix in it. I’m tasting orange, the floral mango in a good way, and a bit of peach, but there’s a lot more going on as well that I can’t pin down. It’s a nice juice that’s a wee bit different from the normal ones I prefer.

Juicy Blackcurrant

It’s nice to try this one on its own. It does go well with the other fruits but, as I’ve already said, they’ve nailed the blackcurrant for me. It’s sweet and juicy but there’s an authentic earthiness to it as well that really reminds me of the fruit itself. It’s sweet on the end and leaves a nice taste in your mouth before you take another draw and get the darkness of the berry again. My folks used to grow blackcurrants in our wee back garden, and it reminds me of my childhood.

Cherry Aniseed Chew

“Cherry Aniseed nic salt e-liquid by Oh So Salty combines the dark, rich notes of cherry with an undertone of floral aniseed for a bold tasting vape”

This juice is the only sweet based one in the range, and I left it till last to save my tank from being tainted by the aniseed. I know from experience that this is a distinct possibility. I needn’t have worried as it’s quite subtle, while somehow still being prominent (if that even makes sense). The aniseed gives it a black jack sweetie type flavour, but the cherry really kicks in and makes the juice sweet and fruity as well. It’s a strange one and I’m not sure how I feel about it just now. There is a touch of marzipan that’s drowned out by the aniseed, and the cherry is really quite nice so I’m leaning towards liking it. We’ll see…

Conclusion

Oh So Salty is a superb fruit range from Dispergo again. I really like most of the flavours, with the stand outs being the strawberry peach, the grape and raspberry, and the three blackcurrant ones. All of them are lovely though (apart from that damn banana), and I will definitely be buying some of them in the future. I just wish there was a sub ohm friendly version of the strawberry peach as it’s one of the nicest juices I’ve ever had. Like seriously good.

In fact, the only thing that’s stopping me from rating these a 10 is the floral mango. It works well in one of the juices, but the others just fail to hit the spot for me personally. Had it been ripe tasting and sweet, I’d have happily dropped my first 10 out of 10.

I was a very militant smoker for many years…why would I stop doing the only thing I had left that I liked doing? Then I fell into vaping in 2017. My wife bought a cheap kit off from Amazon that stopped working and I took it to a local vape shop to see what they could do with it. An hour later and full of new knowledge about watts, ohms, and juice strength, I headed home with a new nautilus mini tank for her and raved to her about the helpful guy in the shop. I must have bored her with all my new found information. I tried her vape that night, and a week later bought my own kit. Then I found POTV and the amazingly helpful and generous people on it. A month later I was making my own (disgusting) vape juice, and a month after that I was winding coils for my new RDA. Six years on and I'm much better at making juice, and I now have no money but lots of shiny mods and tanks
