I quit smoking in October 2018 and had smoked for 30 years. I was 21 when I started and smoked anything from 20-30-40 cigarettes a day, depending on how the day was going. I had a horrific smokers cough, wheezing all the time, coughing up phlegm and was stinking of fag smoke. I tried various ways of quitting beforehand, patches, gum, etc... They did nothing and I still smoked, even with the patches on. I went to the doctors and tried Champix a few times but it made me feel sick. I even went to a clinical trial at the University of Surrey in Guildford, that didn't work either as it turns out I was given the placebo. My friend suggested i try vaping as this was how he finally managed to quit. He let me have a go on his vape it took me a few more weeks before i thought I'd give it a go myself. He showed me a few vape shops so I went in and got a starter kit for my birthday from my lovely missus, thanks Babe! Anyway, I have now been ciggie free for just over 2 years feel a lot healthier! I'm more active and honestly i dont even think about smoking any more. I think with me, it's a case of having the hand actions and blowing out the vapour. In fact, it's been so easy, I wish I'd tried it years ago! I started off using 18mg nicotine and soon cut down to 3mg with no problem, I joined up with POTV in November 2018, which is where my real vaping journey began.
