PIXL 6000

E-liquids.com sent over the latest additions to the PIXL 6000 large capacity disposables for us to test out

E-Liquids.com sent six of these new PIXL 6000 devices over for me to try out. There is a range already available, and these are the six new flavours that have been released recently.

The PIXL 6000 is a 650mAh internal battery disposable vape that you can recharge via a USB Type-C port. It has a power display that lets you see the percentage of battery left, and has a boost button on the bottom to allow you to change the power output a little for a stronger draw. You get a 10ml pack to insert into the device, and there’s 2ml preloaded already for a total of 12mls worth of liquid overall. Given it’s called the PIXL 6000, you won’t be surprised to find that you should get approximately 6000 puffs out of one of them.

The device also has a draw lock function to keep the kids safe should you leave it lying about. We are very mindful in our house, but it’s good to have the option and it’s something I feel all types of vapes should have, not just mods and pods.

Style wise, it’s similar to some other larger capacity disposables on the market. It’s a rectangular shape and the edges are nicely rounded for comfort in your hand. The colours merge into each other and give things a nice look. They are reasonably eye catching, and I have seen them already in the wild, both in local shops and in other people’s hands (yes, I’m that creepy dude staring at your vape). The button for locking and boosting the power is on the bottom, along with the USB C port. The main body is smooth and tactile, giving good grip so it doesn’t slip out of your hand. The juice pod snaps in easily, and none of them have leaked on me over the time I’ve been using them.

There are a total of twenty eight flavours in the range, of which E-liquid.com have eighteen available at the time I’m writing this. I was sent the six new flavours, so I’ll go over them here. As always with disposables, all of the flavours have a degree of cooling and sweetener in them.

Tropical Wave

“Creamy coconut and pineapple combined with a twisty zest of lime and guava. Refreshing taste of tropical paradise”

I get mango and guava mixed together from my unsophisticated palate, with the other noted tropical flavours coming more on the aftertaste. There’s a slight perfumed taste to it, but it’s not overly done and adds nicely to the profile overall. The sweetener in this one is a bit much for me personally, but in general, it’s a nice flavour and is quite light and refreshing.

Cherry Pop

“Bursting with vibrant cherry flavour giving you the nostalgic candy-like sweetness accented with a hint of vanilla and almond for a smooth rich finish”

It’s cherryade juice as I know it. It’s a fantastic red cherry flavour with a bit of sweetness added to it. I think the sweetener is spot on for what the liquid is supposed to be, and the cooling additive adds to the whole thing. I also get a tiny touch of cola in there, but I’m not sure if that’s because I’ve had a lot of cherry cola vapes lately and just kind of expect it now. Reading the description, it’s actually vanilla and almond, but whatever is in there gives a lovely vape, and I can see myself getting this one again.

Juicy Peach

“Sweet succulent peaches with floral notes”

Another good one. In all, it’s a lovely peach flavour that catches all the aspects of the fruit, with just a bit of added sweetener. You can taste the flesh of the peach, along with the fuzz on the skin, and there’s no peach stone aspect to sour it. I don’t get the floral note that the description describes personally, but It’s very well mixed and a definite favourite. If only I could wrestle it off the missus…

Sunset Crush

“Exotic tropical blend of ripened mango with passion fruit taking you back to that gorgeous summer beach sunset”

These descriptions make an absolute mockery of my tastebuds as I was getting a citrusy taste with tropical fruit notes as well. I wasn’t far off, but there’s a definite orange tang to it for me. It’s a nice vape and there’s a slight fizz aspect in there as well. It’s one I would have preferred without cooling in it, but I do realise they’re not made for my own personal tastes.

Fresh Mint

“Crisp and refreshing spearmint combined with a touch of sweet peppermint delivering a cool sensation that will leave you invigorated”

Yay, I tasted spearmint right away, so my tastebuds aren’t all that bad. Warning, this one is cold and that makes for a stronger throat hit than the others. For a simple mint, it has a depth of flavour to it that makes it nice and refreshing. If you like a cold vape, then this one delivers in spades.

Pink Lemonade

“Bright zesty lemons balance with sweet berries perfect for summer”

It’s a berry lemonade with a reasonably strong fizz to it for a vape juice. There’s a proper lemon taste to it that melds in brilliantly with the berries, like a real pink lemonade. The cooling effect is quite mild on this, but it boosts the main profile very well. Another one I’ve had to surrender up to the wife.

Conclusion

If you like disposable vapes, then the PIXL 6000 kits are some you should try at least once. The flavours are well crafted and linger nicely after a draw. My wife is really taken with them all and is even looking at trying out some of the other flavours available, which is something she doesn’t do very often as she’s quite set in her tastes. I’m even tempted to buy the peach one again myself as it’s genuinely lovely, as is the cherry.

I like that there’s a decent amount of juice in them, making them a wee bit more environmentally friendly. I like the flavours. I like the child lock system, all disposables should have this, and I like the fact that you can see how much battery power is left.

The only thing I’m not so keen on is that it’s similar to a lot of disposables in that you can’t see the amount of juice that’s left very well. You can kind of jiggle it about and see the level but it’s not amazingly clear and this could lend to dry hits when the juice runs out. I know most disposables are like this, but it’d be nice if the juice pod was just that little more opaque.

You can buy the PIXL 6000s from E-liquid.com for £11.99 each, and they have free fast delivery on all orders over £20.

Pros
  • Well-crafted flavours
  • Child lock is a good addition
  • Screen so you can see the battery level
  • Power boost button to give a bit more oomph
Cons
  • Can’t really see how much juice is left

I was a very militant smoker for many years…why would I stop doing the only thing I had left that I liked doing?  Then I fell into vaping in 2017.  My wife bought a cheap kit off from Amazon that stopped working and I took it to a local vape shop to see what they could do with it.  An hour later and full of new knowledge about watts, ohms, and juice strength, I headed home with a new nautilus mini tank for her and raved to her about the helpful guy in the shop. I must have bored her with all my new found information.  I tried her vape that night, and a week later bought my own kit. Then I found POTV and the amazingly helpful and generous people on it. A month later I was making my own (disgusting) vape juice, and a month after that I was winding coils for my new RDA.  Six years on and I'm much better at making juice, and I now have no money but lots of shiny mods and tanks
