Geekvape Wenax K1 Pod Kit
https://www.geekvape.com/wenax/Wenax-K1.html
Thank you to Geekvape for sending the Wenax K1 pod kit out to me. I follow their Facebook group and I was lucky enough to be able to get my hands on one of these. As some of you may know, I previously reviewed and am a big fan of the Wenax series, so of course I could not wait to get my hands on the K1. Was my excitement for this little kit in vain? Let’s see shall we……..
What do you get?
- GeekVape Wenax K1 600mAh Vape Device
- 2ml Refillable 0.8Ohm K1 Pod
- 2ml Refillable 1.2Ohm K1 Pod
- USB-C Charging Cable
- User Manual
I received a SAMPLE so the box does look different to the retail version, but the contents are the same. My first impression of the device was “this is light and thin", subconsciously I was comparing it to the Wenax Stylus and there is a difference. This is not as round, it is flatter, and it's lighter due to the battery being reduced to 600mAh. As you can see, I receive the Pacific Blue version and I really like this colour. It is sold in nine different colours, some are very bright and different to the usual black, silver and rainbow!
The pods you receive are 0.8ohm (12-16W) and 1.2ohm (10-12W). The pods have the coil built in so you cannot just change the coil, you must chuck the pod and replace it, great for some but not so great for those that are more environmental minded. The pods are refillable and have the silicone bung on the side. The coil resistance is detailed on the base of the pod. The pods fit nice and snugly into the device. There is very good visibility of your liquid as the pods are almost clear. So far, I have been using the 1.2ohm for the past twelve days. It has been in use most of the time and the coil has only just started to lose some flavour, no burnt or dry hits and zero leaks. I have only used nic salts in this pod at a 50/50 ratio.
The Wenax K1 feels nice in the hand. It has an anodized aluminium body, and the dimensions are 114.6×21.6×11.5mm. The USB-C port is at the base. You have the fire button and the LED light just below it, and on the other side you have WENAX detailed but it's not in your face.
It has a 600mAh internal battery and charges so quickly. It has button and auto draw activation, which I prefer. Below you will see how the LED light dictates the battery level, but it also allows you to change the output which brings some diversity to it and there is something for everyone. It’s a three tiered output system: green is max, blue is medium and white is low. For me, with the 1.2ohm I stuck to blue which is perfect. Geekvape have really done well with the airflow on this, it's not adjustable but it is a good, tight to medium draw, I’d say a good 3 on the DeeDee MTL Draw-o-meter. There are two tiny air holes either side that sit perfectly with the base of the pod providing compact airflow. What I really like about this is the auto sleep feature, after ten seconds of no use, it powers off but you can still auto draw!
Top key positives
- Flavour is divine
- Coil life is excellent
- Quality and style
- Comfy ergonomically, feels very nice in the hand and the mouthpiece is a perfect size
- Auto sleep feature
- Both button and auto draw are very reactive
Niggles
- ·Would have preferred a bigger battery BUT that would impact the weight and size
- Close pods, pro for some as they are easier but a negative on the environment
This would suit ANY MTL vaper, whether you are a noob or not. If you like a decent MTL kit and are a flavour chaser, this will work for you!
You can purchase on pre order from UK vendors for around £18-£20
DeeDee’s overall Score = 9.5/10 – this is my highest scoring EVER!
I absolutely adore this kit, I already have an alert set up so when there is stock of the pods in the UK I get an email! Thank you again to Geekvape

Reviewer at POTVIn August 2019 I joined POTV & in Sept I bought a Caliburn and some nic salts & have not touched a cigarette since! I was smoking around 20 cigarettes a day for 26 years!! Mental! I honestly appreciate all the help and guidance from the POTV members, they made the switch so much easier!I am very much into MTL PODs & AIOs. Enjoy mingling with the members, helping others and having a good laugh!
