In from Voopoo, we have the Seal all in one pod kit. Voopoo are well known for ranges such as the Drag, the Argus, the Vinci and the V-Suit. They have been around a while now and have produced some excellent vaping devices. The Seal forms part of the V-Suit series.
So some of you will look at this and will be thinking "ok, this is a waterproof version of the V-Suit", and honestly that’s what it is! I reviewed the V Suit and, if I’m completely honest, the key differences are that it has a IP66 grading and weighs 72g instead of 69g.
That’s literally it, everything else is exactly the same. Was I disappointed? Actually yeah, a little. Did I still use it and enjoy it? Yeah, I did! But part of me still thinks why bother?
In the box
As you can see, everything you need to get started has been included. I am pleased they included two pnp coils, the TR1 1.2Ohm and the TM2 0.8Ohm single mesh. It also comes with a larger pod cover separately in case you have or want to use the larger 4.5 mtl pnp pod, which is a nice touch, I think.

The Device
Having already used and reviewed the Original V-Suit, I was used to the size and functions. I do like the new IP66 covering which is made from a liquid silicone, it’s ribbed and feels nice in the hand. It is comfier for his and her pleasure (sorry but it had to be done). I received the Tiffany Blue colour, which I really like and would have chosen myself. At the base, you have the USB-C charge port, which now has the silicone cover to match, and it holds the charging cable securely. I found it a tad annoying as you have to really pull the cover to the side to get the charger in but I get it, for it to get the IP66 rating it needs it.
As you can see from the pictures, it has two function buttons, the screen, and the main power/fire button. Everything is nicely positioned and well-constructed. The buttons are slightly clicky.
The OLED screen shows you all you need:
- The battery indicator (no percentage)
- Wattage
- A or P depending on your selection of auto draw or power button mode
- Coil resistance
- Puff Counter
The functions are as follows:
- Up and down for the wattage
- 5 clicks on and off on the power button
- 3 clicks of the power button to adjust draw mode and you will see A or P, no setting for both.
- Power & Top button to lock the wattage
- Power and Bottom Button to clear your puff Counter
The adjustable airflow is very effective. You have a small metal slider which protrudes and feels a bit sharp, not cut yourself sharp but for me it doesn’t suit the feel of the device. It could have done with being softer. On either side you have five tiny airholes which open one at a time as you move the slider. They sit flush with the base of the pod. Branding is minimal with just Voopoo written on the back, it is not in your face. I love the battery capacity, at 12/13W, I got well over a whole day/night use.
The Pod
It’s the usual MTL PNP pod and you can also use the DL tank on this device. As with the V Suit, I enjoyed the mouthpiece, it is perfect for MTL. The silicone fill bung is on the base and it has a decent size fill hole. So far, I’ve had zero leaking or condensation which is very much appreciated but as with most tanks, I wouldn’t leave it in the device without use for long, just in case!
The Performance
I started with the 1.2Ohm regular coil, I primed the coil with some Dr Vapes Pink Sour 10mg nic salts. It has nice and easy push fit coils, so there is no lining up or jiggery pokery.... simples! I filled up the pod, gave it five minutes, and popped it on to the device. The GENE chip automatically detects the coil and sets the recommended wattage. For the 1.2Ohm coil, it's between 10-15W and 0.8Ohm is 12-18W. The flavour was very good from the off but honestly, I didn’t expect anything else. I knew I would enjoy it as it’s the same as the V-Suit. I have it set to 13W with two holes open, and it's perfect! If I was to rate this on my DD-DRAWOMETER, with the airflow completely closed it's a 2, fully open a 6. The flavour pops with two holes open. I did find that when it is fully open, the auto draw doesn’t work, there is too much air.
The 0.8Ohm is also a fantastic coil, slightly more air but the flavour is even better and the vape is denser. I preferred it halfway at 15W, but I do prefer a cooler vape so the airflow needs to be slightly more open with this coil.
Either way, both coils are very good and provide excellent flavour.
Things I like
- Design, quality and size
- Coil range
- Coil life
- MTL mouthpiece
- Airflow
- Functions
- Clear screen
- Big 1200mAh battery – superb for MTL and even RDL
Niggles
- I ended up removing the pod top cover as it moves around and it's harder to see your e-liquid level
- Due to the size of the pod and the coil holes, you have to refill it up once you get halfway
- Airflow slider whilst effective and easy to adjust, feels ergonomically wrong to me
- No passthrough charging……. this one always frustrates me. Come on Voopoo, it's time this was standard
Scores
Build and Design: 8.5/10
Flavour: 9/10
Ease of use: 8/10
OVERALL: 8.5/10
The Voopoo Seal kit would suit any MTL or RDL user. It is nice and small, and the IP66 is a great addition. It is a good pocket vape. It shows great versatility with the wide coil range. If you enjoy the PNP range, then I would recommend this
Thanks to Voopoo for sending this in for review!

Reviewer at POTVIn August 2019 I joined POTV & in Sept I bought a Caliburn and some nic salts & have not touched a cigarette since! I was smoking around 20 cigarettes a day for 26 years!! Mental! I honestly appreciate all the help and guidance from the POTV members, they made the switch so much easier!I am very much into MTL PODs & AIOs.
