We all know Uwell, it’s a very popular brand and has brought us kits such as the Caliburn, the Koko, the Crown range, the Nunchacku and of course the Valyrian Tank! Now we have the Valyrian POD System which I, for one, was very much looking forward to reviewing!

First impressions

WOW this is packaged so well, I love the colour, size and feel of the kit. They are calling it a pod system, but it is more of an AIO as they have replaceable coils. The coils are much longer as they have an extended chimney. It looks to be a well-built quality device.

In use

Of course, I started using the 1.0Ohm coil first (pre-installed) with some Dr Vapes Pink Smoothie 10mg. After a few pulls, I was impressed, the flavour is very good and what’s even better is the airflow, its genuinely a MTL style. I tried it wide open by sliding it down all the way, then half way, and finally nearly closed, and the difference is very noticeable. I also tried some freebase 50/50 juice and the flavour was still extremely good.

It’s very simple to use, five clicks of the Fire Button to switch on and off. There is a V logo at the front which is your battery indicator. To vape, just press the power button. The filling mechanism is super easy, no need to pull the pod out, just slide the top section and you get a silicone seal, push the juice bottle nib in, and you’re done, no mess! Whilst the pod itself is dark, you can still clearly see the liquid level, and the 3ml capacity is perfect. I have been happily vaping on this at night and have very much enjoying it.

I have tried the 0.6Ohm coil with 70/30 Prime Vapes Pink Burst 0mg, again fab flavour from the coil. It is airier of course, and you can get a direct lung from it but it's not a wide-open hit. I would say it's slightly restrictive on the widest airflow setting. I was able to get a decent MTL draw with the airflow nearly closed, but it gets a little warmer. One thing to note is the coil needs to go in a certain way so the contacts at the base make direct connection inside the device.

Conclusion

My Overall Score is 8.8/10

I would recommend this system for any type of vaper looking for a decent AIO, but am more inclined to say this is better as a MTL device due to the airflow.

In August 2019 I joined POTV & in Sept I bought a Caliburn and some nic salts & have not touched a cigarette since! I was smoking around 20 cigarettes a day for 26 years!! Mental! I honestly appreciate all the help and guidance from the POTV members, they made the switch so much easier!I am very much into MTL PODs & AIOs. Enjoy mingling with the members, helping others and having a good laugh!
