The Electronic Cigarette Company (TECC) asked if we’d like to take a look at the latest version on the UWell Koko lineup, the Caliburn G3 Pro KoKo. I had a really great experience with the Caliburn GK3 kit a while back, so I thought this might be worth a look with its larger battery and full colour screen.
Specifications
- 79.2 x 49.9 x 19.5 mm
- 98 grams
- 1.8” colour TFT display
- Output 5~35 watts
- Internal 1250 mAh battery
- USB-C charging
- Compatible with the UWell G3 Pod system
The UWell Caliburn G3 Pro KoKo is available in eight colours, and I was sent the “midnight black” version for review. Inside the compact box you’ll find the G3 Pro KoKo itself with one G3 Pod installed, a second pod, a USB-C charge cable, plus the usual paperwork including a handy quick guide which will run you through the basics of the menu system.
The G3 Pro KoKo follows the familiar KoKo design language with a squared off battery section and a pod offset to one side at the top. It’s quite a bit bigger than the GK3 Koko I last tried at the back end of 2023, plus it’s a lot heavier having switched from an all plastic construction (which has held up quite well over the last twelve months) to a zinc alloy shell.
Of course, with that increase in size, you get a much larger battery going up from 900mAh to 1250mAh which should get you through a good day or two of use.
The box has “first ever full screen KoKo” emblazoned on one side so this is clearly something that UWell want to push with this release, and the full colour 1.8 inch TFT screen dominates the front panel of the G3 Pro KoKo. Around back there’s a plastic section with the usual small viewing window for your pod. Despite the high gloss finish on both panels, this hasn’t been the fingerprint magnet that I initially thought it might be.
The screen is the star of the show here, and with the simple one button menu you can access three vibrant themes to suit your tastes, I went with the third one shown for its bold wattage display which as a bonus meant I could read it without my glasses. The rest of the menu is also easy to navigate with day/night options for the screen brightness and a reset for the puff counter, and there are cute “Hello UWell” and “Goodbye” messages when you turn the device on/off with five clicks of the power button.
This time around we have an adjustable airflow system on one edge. This has a good amount of tension so you won't find yourself accidentally adjusting it, however I have occasionally had to alter my grip as I do sometimes find myself blocking this with my fingers.
On the opposite edge there’s the power button with a lanyard loop on the top corner. The USB-C charge port is also located on this side, and in my tests this hit a peak charge rate of 1.54 amps with a charging animation being shown on the screen throughout the charging cycle. Once the screen turns off, there’s still a 0.02 amp draw but no further charging takes place so the screen off definitely seems to indicate the end of the charge cycle with a final recorded capacity of 1291mAh reached in 1 hour and 14 minutes.
The recess at the top holds the pods fairly securely in place and you get a 0.4 and 0.9ohm pod included in the box. With an ever increasing number of kits these days, only shipping with one pod this gets UWell bonus points.
The G3 Pro KoKo is compatible with the full range of G3 Pods which are a very reasonable £9.99 for a pack of four over at The Electronic Cigarette Company (TECC) and I’ve easily been able to get a couple of weeks use out a pod which makes this a very economical kit to run. The convenient fill system means that you don’t even need to remove the pods for refilling, and I’m more than happy to recommend these if you’re nickel sensitive as they’re all FeCrAl (kanthal) mesh coils with outstanding flavour… yes, a lot of the competition has caught up over the last few years, but these are still class leading.
Conclusion
The UWell Caliburn G3 Pro KoKo is another great entry in the Koko family of starter kits, and those G3 Pods are still a step ahead of a lot of the competition. This is currently just £21.99 with three free 10ml e-liquids thrown as well which also makes it a true bargain basement option which I’d happily recommend to anyone.
Many thanks to The Electronic Cigarette Company (TECC) for sending the UWell Caliburn G3 Pro KoKo out for review.
- Compatible with the full range of G3 pods
- Vibrant colour screen
- 1250mAh battery
- A little on the heavy side

Reviewer at POTVI was a twenty a day smoker for 25 years and like most smokers I was always going to quit "next week". Having hit my mid forties and having the usual smokers cough and difficulty with anything more than moderate exercise it was obviously time to give up the cancer sticks. I bought my first e-cigarette in 2013 when they were expensive, difficult to find and quite frankly... crap. I used it for about a week then went back to the roll ups, mark up another failed quit attempt. The fact that I had just changed jobs and was under quite a lot of stress probably didn't help. Move on to 2016 and whilst I was browsing eBay I noticed that one of the suggested items that would occasionally pop up was for a cheap e-cigarette. It looked similar to the one I'd bought 3 years earlier but it was only £5 (about 8 times cheaper than before) so I decided to give it another go on a whim. Once the kit arrived I managed to gradually replace the cigarettes with my new kit over a two month period and got into watching YouTube reviews for newer kit. My cheap and cheerful kit was replaced by a more upmarket affair, and being a noob I made a mistake once it arrived... I put in the supplied direct lung coil, this was of course a complete revelation and I haven't touched a cigarette since. Oh and I no longer spend the first five minutes of every day having a coughing fit either.
