In the Box
As you can see, it nicely presented with everything you need. I received the aquamarine variant which is lovely as it’s a gradient of colour. Included is two coils, an 0.6ohm and a 1.0ohm, along with a USB Type-C cable and an instruction manual. It also uses easy press fit coils.
The Device
As with most pod kits or AIO devices, the Aspire Flexus Q is very easy to use. It has a nice weight to it (57g), and the size and build quality are both good. There is branding but it is not in your face, it is understated which I like with "Aspire" on one side and "Flexus Q" on the other. In the centre, as you can see, you have the power button and a decent size LED light. The button is good, not loose or rattly, and features a soft click. The oblong shape and the size feel nice on the thumb. Little details like that really enhance the user experience.
The pod allows for three wattage levels: soft, normal, and hard. It can automatically detect coil resistance and will choose the optimum wattage for efficient vaping. Three clicks of the button changes the wattage using a colour coded red, blue and green.
Whilst charging, the green light stays on solid.
The 700mAh battery is absolutely fine, especially with the 1.0ohm coil, and as it has rapid charge, it's even better! You can charge it on the go for ten minutes and voila, you can boost it up to 80% (depending on charge rate obviously).
The air flow adjustment is on the side, it's easy to move but not loose so you won't change it accidentally. The air flow works well for all MTL or RDTL vapers, it really is something that should suit everyone.
The Pod
The pod has a 2ml capacity with a bottom side fill with an average size fill hole. I am not a fan of the rubber bung, but it works and does the job. The coil slots in easily to the base of the pod. The mouthpiece is a duckbill style and is tinted, but you can see the liquid level clearly. To be honest, I have nothing else to talk about in regard to the pod, it simply does the job. Personally I would have preferred a slightly thinner pod, but each to their own.
I used only nic salts, and the flavour was VERY good. I prefer the 1.0ohm coil but I am more into a tighter MTL so that makes sense. With the coil and airflow, you get a nice tight MTL or a medium so I'd class it as being between a 2 and 5 on the DD-Drawometer. The 0.6ohm coil gives you a nice open MTL or a lovely RDL, it's warmer, obviously, but still very satisfying.
Top pros
- Easy – Perfect for newbies or long time MTL vapers
- Excellent flavour from both coils
- Zero leaking
- True MTL with great adjustable airflow for a good RDL too
- Rapid Charge – 80% in 10 mins, great for on the go!
Niggles
- Personal preference – I wish the mouthpiece was slightly narrower
- I’m not keen on the rubber bungs
Conclusion
The Aspire Flexus Q is a great pod kit which utilises external coils, adjustable power and airflow, and is suitable for any user, new or experienced. This is a corker is a definite keeper!

I honestly appreciate all the help and guidance from the POTV members, they made the switch so much easier!I am very much into MTL PODs & AIOs.
