Estoc Tank Mega by Vaporesso
New from Vaporesso the Estoc Tank Mega is the first atomizer in their range to use the new EUC Ceramic Coils. These coils are offer the same performance as their traditional CCELL coils in a much smaller form factor. The tank itself has a 4ml capacity, fully adjustable airflow and features top filling as well an easy swap coil system. It all sounds very interesting so let’s find it if it’s really as good as it sounds!

Estoc Tank Mega styling and build quality
The Estoc Tank Mega features a nice compact and stream lined design. It feels very well put together and has no apparent burs or defects. The black version I received looks nice on most of my mods. The diameter of the tank is 22mm and the overall construction is reasonably solid so it should be fairly resistant to a couple of light knocks and should an accident ever occur the package does contain a replacement glass tube.
The drip tip is of the wide bore variety and made from Delrin which will help to minimise the amount of heat that reaches your lips, it is a good fit and thankfully wobble free. The tank has a standard 510 drip tip fitting so you can happily replace it for another from your collection.
The Estoc Tank Mega has a 4ml juice capacity so which should be more than adequate for typical users. The 510 pin appears to be made from brass and is non-adjustable. The tank can be completely broken down for cleaning.
Airflow
The Estoc Tank Mega features fully adjustable dual Cyclops style airflow slots. The airflow adjustment ring works well and is neither too stiff nor too loose. Fully opened up the airflow caters to a slightly restricted direct lung inhale style of vaping. You can heavily close down the airflow heavily and I found it quite enjoyable as a mouth to lung vape and it surprisingly still puts out a nice amount of vapour.
Ease of use
The Estoc Tank Mega is an absolute doddle to use and replacing coils is accomplished by simply unscrewing the base, removing the old coil and fitting a new one. What is great is that you can remove the coil even when the tank is completely full just like the Innokin tanks. Do remember to prime the coils with a little E-Liquid before use. To fill the tank you simply unscrew the top cap. I was concerned that the tank glass might come loose but it is actually very secure.
I am not a huge fan of these recent tanks that simply has a huge gap in between the chimney and the glass because while you can simply pour in lots of juice you do have more chance of spilling. Make sure not to completely fill the tank to the top since you don’t want the pressure to cause any leaking when you re-fit the top cap.
How does it vape?
I primed the coil and filled up the tank with some of Cuttwood’s Mr Fritter. The pre-installed 0.5ohm ceramic coil offers an absolutely lovely vape with a nice amount of heat, generous vapour production and excellent flavour! Interestingly enough you don’t need to pour on the power since you can get a pretty good vape at 24 Watts but I personally found 28 Watts to be the sweet spot. You can push to 30W but you will get a burnt taste once you approach the 32-35W region.
The new EUC coils are designed to offer the same performance as Vaporesso’s original CCELL coils which if I remember correctly were seriously good in the flavour department!
By comparison when using the 0.4ohm traditional/kanthal coil the Estoc is still a decent enough vape that will be acceptable enough for most users but in my opinion the tank is at its best in terms of flavour when using the superb ceramic coils. The 4ml capacity is certainly a pleasant change in this post TPD vaping world and thanks to the fact you don’t need loads of power you won’t drain it incredibly quickly. When you do need to refill the Estoc the top filling design keeps things convenient.
Conclusion
The Estoc Tank Mega is a very nice tank but the only area where I feel it could use some improvement is the top filling since it ideally it could use some form of top piece with a slot for juice nozzles rather than simply have the entire tank exposed which could be easily knocked over but as long as you take care it shouldn't be a problem.
Flavour is excellent when using the ceramic coil and the tank does put out a decent enough amount of vapour that will satisfy most typical users! In addition the tank does work reasonably well for mouth to lung vaping providing you heavily close down the airflow. I think the Estoc Tank Mega it is an extremely good offering from Vaporesso it has a nice compact design, a 4ml capacity and makes for a highly enjoyable vape with decent vapour production!
Given that it is easy to fill and clean and offers great performance the typical £19.99 asking price is something of a bargain!
