Dojo Blast2000 Go

Vaporesso are the brains behind the latest DOJO BLAST2000 GO vapes, a TPD compliant semi disposable that should also make it through the upcoming bans

Vaporesso sent these tasty Dojo Blast2000 Go vapes over for a shot.

Vaporesso are known to me more for their mods and tanks. I particularly like the Gen range as they’ve got that minimal design and decent chip in them. They’ve also recently dipped into making their own juice range and disposable devices, and the Dojo Blast2000 Go is the latest of those disposable devices with Vaporesso’s own juice in them. It uses their Corex 2.0 technology for supposed better flavour and vapour production, and is marketed as a device for when you’re on the ‘go’.

The Dojo Blast2000 Go has a 700mAh rechargeable internal battery and takes 2 separate 2ml pods with 20mg juice in them at a time to make up the claimed 2000 puffs. It’s a strange set up where you open the device packaging and there’s the battery with a single pod deep in it with a little tube poking out of the top once you’ve taken the rubber stopper out. I was a bit tired when I opened the first one and thought I had a dud if I’m honest. I took a puff from the wee plastic tube, not realising that there’s a second pod in the box that you open and click into the other one. What a numpty! Once I opened the other pod, I realised that this one clicks onto the top and actually has a mouthpiece and once you click the two together, they make for one big pod that holds all the juice. It is a different and a novel way to comply with the TPD regulations.

The device itself is a pen style vape that’s colourful and nicely rounded, with the Dojo branding down the front of it. The USB-C connection is on the bottom and there’s an airflow hole next to it as well so that you can hold the whole thing in your fist without restricting the airflow. One thing I’m not keen on is the fact that the pods are so dark that you can’t see the juice level, no big thing in the world of disposables but I do hate that final draw or two when you realise that there’s no juice left and you get a bit of a burnt cotton taste in your gob.

As always though, it’s about the vape for me and these are good for that. The flavour is very strong, very sweet and, for a lack of any other way to describe it, very full. I almost feel like I’m eating something when I take a draw of these, it’s difficult to quantify but it’s nice all the same. The draw is tightish, leaning more to a medium MTL, and there is a very slight hum when you take a puff. The vapour production is decent for a small device, but it’s the flavour that really stands out.

I was sent three of these to test and, as always, they have a degree of sweetener and cooling in them, not overly done like some but they are there and it is noticeable.

Lemon Lime

I’ll say this is the weakest flavour of the three, but it’s by no means tasteless. It’s just a touch more subtle and nuanced than the other two. The first hit gave me a tart and zingy lime flavour that melted into a bitterish, but sweet lemon. The sweetener makes it a candy style flavour, but the actual fruits come out well on the aftertaste. The cooling aspect lifts it all nicely and the flavour sticks around in your mouth for a bit after you’ve exhaled until you go again.

Triple Mango

This one smashes your mouth with a big hit of mango. It has a floral touch that doesn’t overstay its welcome and, again, the sweetener leaves the taste in your mouth for a bit until you hit it again. Once the floral aspect drifts away, you get a really nice, sweet mango that just makes me want to keep drawing and drawing on it to keep the flavour in there for longer. It’s a great mango that I’ve really come to like, and the cooling is at just the right level for me personally.

Strawberry Kiwi

My favourite of the bunch. The kiwi is more dominant at first but as you go on, the sweetness intensifies and the strawberry comes in as well. It’s a bit different to the other two as the sweetener isn’t as noticeable straight away, perhaps because the two fruits are sweet as it is. Once you’re used to it, the whole thing becomes a flavour on its own and I do like that. I could honestly puff away on this all day, even though it is awash with sweetener. As I mentioned earlier, the flavour is very full.

Conclusion

Vaporesso have gone with bold flavours for the Dojo Blast2000 Go range. They are very in your face but also nuanced and well done. Yes, there’s a lot of sweetener in there, but it does go well with the flavour profiles and lifts them up to linger around for a while in a pleasant way for a change, rather than just leaving a nondescript sweetness rolling around the tongue.

The idea is simple, and a different way to work with the TPD regulations whilst also keeping things compact. I just wish there was more capacity and a way to see when the juice is about to run out. The devices themselves seem solid and should hopefully last a while.

I can see that there are Dojo Blast6000 devices out there so they might perhaps be a bit more my thing but for now, I’m very happy with the 2000 versions.

Pros
  • Very strong and full flavours
  • Design keeps the whole thing compact
  • Again, I like the flavours
Cons
  • Very minor, but you can’t see the juice level

I was a very militant smoker for many years…why would I stop doing the only thing I had left that I liked doing?  Then I fell into vaping in 2017.  My wife bought a cheap kit off from Amazon that stopped working and I took it to a local vape shop to see what they could do with it.  An hour later and full of new knowledge about watts, ohms, and juice strength, I headed home with a new nautilus mini tank for her and raved to her about the helpful guy in the shop. I must have bored her with all my new found information.  I tried her vape that night, and a week later bought my own kit. Then I found POTV and the amazingly helpful and generous people on it. A month later I was making my own (disgusting) vape juice, and a month after that I was winding coils for my new RDA.  Six years on and I'm much better at making juice, and I now have no money but lots of shiny mods and tanks
