What's in the box?
The Oumier Wasp Nano comes packaged in a small black presentation box bearing the Wasp Nano logo, which also includes a blue flathead screwdriver for the post screws, spare o-rings, spare post screws, a bottom feed pin for squonking and a bag of organic cotton wick.
Design and build quality
Measuring in with a tiny 22mm width and 22.5mm height, the Oumier Wasp Nano is a true low profile RDA, and the exterior has a very unfussy design with no logos present on the Ultem top cap. The drip tip and top cap are all one piece, however certain drip tips will fit into the centre of the Wasp Nano drip tip should you wish to use your own. Build quality is pretty decent overall for a budget RDA, and it looks the business as well.
The base of the Oumier Wasp Nano is available with stainless steel and brass finishes, the base has the Wasp Nano logo engraved on it along with the CE mark and the adjustable 510 pin is located here. This can be removed and swapped over for the included bottom feed pin should you wish to use the Wasp Nano with a squonking mod, however I did find that the 510 pin was very stiff and required a fair bit of force to remove!
Airflow
Airflow on the Oumier Wasp Nano is found at the side, and this will hit your coil directly as your build should line up with both airflow holes. You can adjust the airflow by rotating the top cap, it offers a restricted lung hit when fully open and can be closed down to a fairly loose mouth to lung draw.
Building the Oumier Wasp Nano
The Oumier Wasp Nano is designed as a single coil RDA, and at either side of the deck you will notice that there are post screws each with a cutout underneath to insert your coil leads into. It isn't designed for huge coil builds, but you can get a 3mm diameter coil in there quite happily, and the coil should line up with the airflow holes on each side. The juice well is a little on the small side, and your wick tails should trail down into this at either side of your coil. It's a pretty simple RDA to build and get to grips with overall.
Performance
I have been using the Oumier Wasp Nano with a SS 316 clapton coil, that has a 2.5mm diameter, and a resistance of 0.5ohm. Flavour wise, the Oumier Wasp Nano really does pack a punch, it has a nice and warm vape packed with plenty of flavour. Flavour delivery is very smooth and the Wasp Nano isn't particularly loud either when taking a draw, although it can occasionally whistle.
The Ultem top cap does a great job of cutting down on heat, and as a result the Wasp Nano doesn't ever seem to get too hot during use. It isn't designed for super low resistance builds and triple figure wattage, but I have been able to put up to 70W through it quite comfortably. It's not a particularly airy atty, but it does put out some fairly dense clouds when it needs to.
A bottom feeding pin is also included for squonking use, and the Oumier Wasp Nano is a really useful little squonking atty. You do need to be careful as it can be quite easy to oversquonk and get leaks, due to the small juice well and airflow positioning.
Conclusion
The Oumier Wasp Nano is a very well made, low profile single coil RDA that is pretty simple to build, and delivers excellent flavour. With a BF pin included, it's also an excellent choice for squonkers, and you can't really go wrong with the sub £20 price point either. This is a real steal at this price point, and an atty I would highly recommend!
