An RDA that has been gaining a lot of hype across forums and social media recently is the Dead Rabbit RDA from Hellvape, a 24mm RDA designed in the USA by Heathen featuring a large four post build deck!
The Dead Rabbit RDA is compatible with both single and dual coil builds, with large adjustable airflow present at the top of the RDA. A unique resin drip tip is found with each Dead Rabbit RDA, and a bottom feeding pin is included in the box so you can chuck clouds with your favourite squonker!

What’s in the box?
Inside the Dead Rabbit RDA Box you get the Dead Rabbit RDA with a colourful 810 resin drip tip, a Delrin 810 drip tip, 510 drip tip adaptor, gold plated bottom feed pin, spare o-rings, hex screwdriver and four hex screws.
Design and Build Quality
Manufactured from 304 Stainless Steel, the Hellvape Dead Rabbit RDA is a pretty cool looking RDA! I do like the engraved Dead Rabbit logo on the front of the top cap, although I know that it won’t be to some people’s tastes! The top of the top cap is knurled, making it easier to remove and to adjust the airflow.
The Dead Rabbit RDA is available in a wide variety of different colour finishes, and each one comes with an 810 wide bore resin drip tip that will have a unique design. This is totally random however, so you can’t specify which colour or design you would like. If the drip tip you get isn’t to your taste, you can switch it out for another 810 threaded tip, or make use of the supplied 510 drip tip adaptor.
With the Dead Rabbit RDA being a 24mm width RDA, it fits onto the top of most of the popular mechanical tube mods on the market today with no overhang present, and a bottom feeding pin is included should you wish to use the Dead Rabbit RDA with your favourite squonker.
Overall, I feel that the Dead Rabbit RDA is a great looking RDA that has been machined very well indeed, with no sharp edges or machine burrs present. It’s surprisingly light in hand too, I expected it to be heavier when I first saw it in the box!
Building the Dead Rabbit RDA
A large and uniquely designed four post build deck supporting both single and dual coil builds is found on the Dead Rabbit RDA, with one half of the posts being gold plated and the other half are silver. You have the option of using flat head or hex screws with the large post holes, and the coil leads are simply mounted on top. There’s plenty of space for large coil builds, and the post screws clamp the leads down tightly.
The juice well has a depth of around 5mm, which isn’t particularly large especially when you have your wicks trailing down into it. The airflow is mounted at the top however, ideal for squonking, so you would have to go some to get it to leak!
Airflow
A top side diagonal airflow system is used on the Dead Rabbit RDA, which focuses on flavour and minimizes leaking. Two large cyclops airflow slots are located on either side of the top cap, with the internal top cap angling the airflow downwards to your coils.
Knurling on the top cap means the airflow adjustment is buttery smooth, and you can finely adjust the airflow to your liking. If you wish to use a single coil build, you can shut one side of the airflow off accordingly.
Performance
The Dead Rabbit RDA is an RDA that is designed to deliver great flavour, and it does an excellent job of doing so! It really excels with low resistance builds, providing a very warm and tasty vape, I’ve been using a 0.2ohm fused clapton dual coil build with superb results!
Given the size of the cyclops airflow slots, I expected the Dead Rabbit RDA to be a real cloud machine. It does provide a very cloudy vape, but not as cloudy as I had expected it to be. It even feels slightly restricted with both the airflow slots wide open!
As a bonus, the Dead Rabbit RDA comes with a squonking pin which is quick and easy to install so that you can use the Dead Rabbit RDA with a squonker. It performs very well on a squonking mod, I had no issues with juice feeding up to the deck!
Conclusion
I found it hard to find any negatives with the Dead Rabbit RDA, it’s simply a well designed, great performing RDA available at a very attractive price point. The performance I get from it has been nothing short of superb, with a very enjoyable and flavoursome vape!
If you are in the market for a new, bottom feed compatible RDA then I would highly recommend having a look at the Dead Rabbit RDA. I think this is a real steal for the price!
