Design and Build Quality

The Joyetech Exceed Edge is a small and discrete starter kit, measuring in at 26.5mm x 110mm x 20mm. Six colour finish options are available to purchase, with Black, Red, Orange, Yellow, Silver and Dazzling all available.

Joyetech took inspiration from sports car looks when designing the Joyetech Exceed Edge, and it features an ergonomic curved body with two red LED's at the bottom, which light up when in use, as well as a micro USB port for charging. The curved edge makes it nice to hold in hand, and easy to grip.

A replaceable cartridge is found at the top, which also has the mouthpiece moulded onto the top of it. This is manufactured from PETG, and has a 2ml capacity which is filled from the side, and you can clearly see how much liquid remains inside.

Using the Joyetech Exceed Edge and Performance

1.2ohm EX MTL (mouth to lung) coil heads are used with the Joyetech Exceed Edge, and these are inserted into the cartridge by unscrewing the metal base of the cartridge, inserting your coil, and replacing the metal base.

A small filling port is located on the side of the cartridge, covered by a small rubber bung. Remove the rubber bung to fill the 2ml capacity, and replace once done. If using a brand new EX coil head, leave the juice to sit in the cartridge for 10 minutes before using it.

Five clicks of the firing button will turn the Exceed Edge on, and simply hold down the button to fire it. The Exceed Edge is designed for a mouth to lung vape, and it offers a very smooth one too, with some good flavour results too! I got really good results from it using the Element NS20 range of E-Liquids.

Battery capacity is a very decent 680mAh, which lasts longer than a lot of the other pod systems on the market. I can get well over a day's use out of this, and the Exceed Edge recharges quickly via USB.

Conclusion

The Joyetech Exceed Edge is a smart little refillable pod system offering a tasty mouth to lung draw, ideal for a new starter or for an experienced vaper looking for a nicotine salt device! It's a smart looker too, and great for carrying about with you thanks to its sleek form factor and lightweight design!
