In Use
The kit was packaged well in a nice small compact box. It's pretty obvious how it all fits together, you have four components: the battery base + middle section (the pod sits in) + the pod + top section which includes an inbuilt drip tip. You can unscrew the middle and top from the main battery base which I did for charging but you do not need too, or you can simply just unscrew the top with the pod attached.
There is a nice oval fire button which is surrounded by the LED indicator. This shows the current charge capacity which are as follows:
- Green - above 3.8V (50-100%)
- Blue – 3.8V-3.5V (20-50%)
- Red – Below 3.5V (0-20%)
The pod is completely clear and is made from PCTG. It is bottom fill and comes with the easy to lift hinged plastic stopper as opposed to the annoying rubber bungs. It has two fill holes to allow air to escape when filling, nice and clean with no fuss. I love this design! I filled it with Nexus Pro Green 5mg nic salts and let it soak for around ten minutes. I then pushed the pod into the top cap section which sits nice and flush, and then screwed that in to the middle/base. VOILA! All ready to go.
It is a button activation only which I did keep forgetting, but it fires quickly. There is a nice big window so you can easily see your juice level without having to remove the pod……WIN!. The flavour is nice with normal vapour production for this type of device. The MTL draw using my scale of 10 being too much airflow and 1 being super tight, I would say this is a 4/5 so a good medium mouth to lung. The coil/pod lasted around 8 days with average daily use, after that I started to notice the flavour dropping off a little. I had no dry or burnt hits from this and zero leaks.
Pros
- Very easy to use
- Great quality – as expected from Aspire
- Coils deliver nice flavour
- Good size battery for resistance of the coil
- Nice ergonomic inbuilt drip tip suited to MTL
- Small and Lightweight
- Fill system and no leaks!
Niggles
- Throw away pods
- Micro USB charging
- No airflow adjustment (but this is meant to be an easy starter kit so I understand why they excluded airflow control)
DeeDee’s scoring
- Ease of use: 9
- Flavour: 7
- Design/Quality: 8 (some airflow adjustment would have improved this)
I would happily recommend this to a smoker looking to quit or a new MTL vaper. It's super easy, reliable and does the job well.

Reviewer at POTVIn August 2019 I joined POTV & in Sept I bought a Caliburn and some nic salts & have not touched a cigarette since! I was smoking around 20 cigarettes a day for 26 years!! Mental! I honestly appreciate all the help and guidance from the POTV members, they made the switch so much easier!I am very much into MTL PODs & AIOs.
