The Electronic Cigarette Company sent this Aspire Flexus Pro kit over for me to try out, and I’m very grateful to them as it’s a damn nice pod kit.
Aspire have been a staple of my vaping journey since I started in 2017. I started off with a Nautilus Mini tank and have had various iterations of that tank since then as I do sometimes like to use a mainly MTL stock coil tank for some super restricted RDL draws. Of course, the tanks and kits they produce have evolved over the years, and it’s been nice to try out the latest version of their Flexus range of pod kits over the past couple of weeks.
In the box you get:
- 1 Aspire Flexus Pro
- 1 Flexus Pro Cartridge
- 2 Aspire AF Coils (0.6ohm and 1.0ohm)
- 1 USB-C Cable
- 1 User Manual
The Aspire Flexus Pro is a 1200mAh capacity internal battery kit, with 2ml pods that take Aspire AF coils. It goes up to a maximum of 30W to allow RDL vapers to get a good draw but, for now, it looks like you can only get 0.6ohm coils that range between 15-18W, so here’s hoping for some lower ohm coils being released at some point. I’d like to see a 0.4ohm that’ll allow me to ramp the wattage up a touch past 20W, not to the full 30W limit as I feel that’s sometimes a bit much, but being able to use the kit past two thirds of its potential would be nice and would open some more options for juices etc.
The kit is auto draw and button activated, plus you can adjust this by clicking four times on the fire button, from auto only, to button only, and then to both. It’s a nice option, but I personally like the auto draw myself and that does work very well on this kit with no stuttering or delay.
I also really like the design of the kit. I was sent a white one and the panels on it have a lovely shimmery marbling effect that just looks classy and higher end to my own uncultured eyes. The fire button is well placed, and the little pill shaped screen is at the bottom of the battery section, giving you a bar battery indicator and battery percentage (I wish all mods would do this), the wattage, puff duration, and an indication of the coil’s ohms to top it off. On the back panel, there’s just the branding, with the Aspire symbol and Flexus Pro printed at the bottom. It’s decently done and not intrusive at all.
The airflow adjuster is on one side. It lets you go from RDL/loose MTL on it’s most open, all the way to super tight when fully closed off. I love that. Aspire have really catered for everyone with this airflow as I find a lot of the MTL/RDL ‘Pro’ branded pod kits that I’ve tried recently do not cater to those who like a super tight draw. It’s not my own preference at all, but I am impressed that it’s there as it shows that Aspire know their user base well.
I started using the 0.6ohm coil as that was the one that’s installed when you open the kit up. I’ve found that it gives a fantastic loose MTL draw and a very good RDL draw as well with no burning when you use 70/30 ratio juice and have a bit of a chain vape. It does drink the juice however, but that’s only to be expected if you’re puffing away at 17/18W and taking large draws. Another very slight drawback is that you might run out of battery before the day is out while taking big RDL draws on the 0.6ohm coil, but I’ve already found that it lasts well enough on a night out, and that’s what I’ll be using it for going forward. Using it MTL should last a decent amount of time. Flavour is also fantastic as it’s a mesh coil, and it gives me a better taste than some of my single coil RTAs.
I moved onto the 1.0ohm coil and found that it still allows you to use higher ratio juice if you’re sticking to MTL, which is a bonus for me, a lot of the recent coils need you to use 50/50 only so it’s nice to be able to use my lower nic diy juices in it as well as stuff I’ve bought specifically for higher ohm coils. You still get good flavour, and the draw is very nice on the 1.0ohm coil.
Final Thoughts
I love this kit. It looks nice, vapes well, and has replaced a couple of other kits I’ve had on the go lately. Aspire do know their userbase and it shows on the Aspire Flexus Pro as it’s designed for everyone to use (well apart from the massive cloud chuckers).
There are barely any niggles with the kit. The charging port is on the bottom so that will put some off, and there’s clear condensation in the mouthpiece but to be fair, none of it reaches your lips. Overall it’s a great kit and worth considering. If you like the sound of this, you can pick up the Aspire Flexus Pro kit from TECC for £23.49, and that includes some free bottles of e-liquid to get you started.
- Airflow for everyone!
- Looks very nice
- Option to tun off auto draw or button press fire or have both
- Coils suit what they’re used for
- You can see the condensation in the mouthpiece, but it doesn’t reach your lips

Reviewer at POTVI was a very militant smoker for many years…why would I stop doing the only thing I had left that I liked doing? Then I fell into vaping in 2017. My wife bought a cheap kit off from Amazon that stopped working and I took it to a local vape shop to see what they could do with it. An hour later and full of new knowledge about watts, ohms, and juice strength, I headed home with a new nautilus mini tank for her and raved to her about the helpful guy in the shop. I must have bored her with all my new found information. I tried her vape that night, and a week later bought my own kit. Then I found POTV and the amazingly helpful and generous people on it. A month later I was making my own (disgusting) vape juice, and a month after that I was winding coils for my new RDA. Six years on and I'm much better at making juice, and I now have no money but lots of shiny mods and tanks
