Social media groups and forums sparked into drama overload this weekend as people shared all kinds of messages about Vapefest X. The only source of accurate, up to date information can be found by visiting the official Vapefest Facebook page.
The organisers write: “Announcements arriving from anywhere other than here, are probably misplaced, maybe premature, definitely not official announcements - Regardless of anything the rumour mill might have you believe.”
“As things stand, yes there are some challenges in the transition from the previous organisation to the new, but we are working hard behind the scenes to continue as smoothly and as conveniently as possible. In the event any news needs to be shared, we will capably do so.”
Richard Hirst was the main organiser for the last five years but stood down after this year’s event. Vapefest has grown since its first meeting in a pub, and has moved home to new venues to accommodate the crowds.
One of the organisers has confirmed to POTV that there are some challenges currently being addressed, but that there is a lot to be positive about.
While the date and/or venue may change, there is a firm commitment to celebrating the tenth anniversary of Vapefest in 2019. Alex Stacey told us: “We have reunited the 2015 team, as well as some other well loved prominent personalities. And, all things being well, we hope to celebrate the tenth annual UK Vapefest with all the enthusiasm and love it deserves."
