British vape company IVG has taken full advantage of a recent record-breaking movie. The UK vape giant is running an aggressive anti-smoking campaign in cinemas featuring before the highly anticipated blockbuster Deadpool & Wolverine,which has smashed box office records since its release. In its debut weekend, the movie earned £17.3 million at the UK and Ireland box office.
This campaign is showcased in prominent cinema chains including Vue, Odeon and Cineworld across 12 major UK cities.
Odeon Cinemas reported that the movie has become its biggest box-office release this year with the opening weekend attracting approximately 500,000 viewers to Odeon Cinemas alone.
The anti-smoking cinema advertisement states that IVG is the alternative for adult smokers and is part of a wider multi-media campaign that includes billboards, branding in pubs, buses and taxi advertisements nationwide to spread the word among adult smokers.
