The Office for Health Improvement and Disparities says: “We’re delighted to announce that our annual mass participation stop smoking campaign, Stoptober, is back this October!”
“We’re delighted to announce that our annual mass participation stop smoking campaign, Stoptober, is back this October! Now in its 11th year, Stoptober is a great opportunity to encourage smokers to make a quit attempt and help them sustain it throughout October and beyond.
“This year’s campaign will reach smokers through a range of media including radio, video on demand and out-of-home display; with an emphasis on targeting smokers aged 25 to 50 from lower socio-economic groups who work in routine and manual jobs. The messaging of the campaign will be ‘You’ve got what it takes to quit this Stoptober’; encouraging smokers to quit not only by promoting the benefits of quitting, but also to give them confidence that they can quit successfully.”
“Our partnerships with Local Authorities and the NHS play a key role in the success of our award-winning marketing campaigns. That’s why we have made it easy for you to find all the information and resources you need to support our campaigns in the Campaign Resource Centre.
“Whatever activity you’re planning, your local Regional Marketing Manager will provide you with everything you need. You can also share what you do to inspire others.
“Your Regional Marketing Managers are:
- Alex (North East and Yorkshire and Humber)
- Claire (North West)
- Alana (West Midlands, East Midlands and East of England)
- Sarah (South East and South West)
- Daniel (London)
You can contact us here.”
